We had a fabulous room for 3 nights as part of our Wendy Wu tour. I say room, but it was a suite with fitted kitchen incorporating full size fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, sink. Complimentary bottled water, slippers, bathrobes, toiletries replenished daily. Most travellers in our group had similar sized rooms. Massive comfortable bed, wonderful view toward T square. No charge for safe. Good choice of Asian/Western breakfast - even baked beans one day! Foyer was most impressive but we were amused that the bar (which has a huge wall decoration/display of wine bottles) does not serve ANY alcohol, just coffee!

We stayed at this hotel three nights at the beginning of our China/Tibet/Hong Kong trip. The room was clean, comfortable, very large and the bed was divine. The breakfast buffet was very good, except for the coffee. I would wish that at least one person on the lobby crew could speak a little English but luckily we had a guide who took care of that, The location of the hotel was really excellent and the view from my room was stunning.

This hotel is just near Commercial Street where there is a strip of high end malls and is also near T sq and the Forbidden City and the Opera house. Really enjoyed the stay and the room was huge but could have done with a bit more furniture like another set of chairs. Room was very quiet and the curtains really good at blocking out the light. Had a big desk to set up laptop but the wifi connection instructions were a bit confusing so lived without it. The AC worked well, given I was there during the hottest week in August BJ had seen! Got some laundry done and it came back pressed and well packaged. The only downsides were the staff don't speak English but I found them very polite and they managed to understand me! The breakfasts were a bit forgettable but adequate if you can't be bothered going further. Also there are a number of restaurants around including a very good hotpot place just across the road. However, the hotel was good value for money if you only need a place to sleep, was clean and tidy.

The room was divine, large with ample space with polished floor boards. Very clean with every thing you need, except air conditioning! It had the most comfortable bed, not hard, not soft, just perfect. Sleep quality was like being at home. We travelled mid October 16 and found the room humid and hot. No amount of adjusting the A/C control helped, it was set around the 27C mark. We opened the window which only opens fractionally every day, but when we came back to our room in the afternoon,it was closed again, trapping the humidity inside. Outside it was a lot cooler than in our room. One of our travel companions who spoke Chinese asked the front desk about getting the A/C set lower but apparently the A/C isn't on, at all, due to Government restriction. Lighting was quite dim also, I had my husband hold my iPhone torch over the mirror so I could put my makeup on each day, and the hallways were quite dark. More power saving I suspect. The room was serviced daily, and to a high standard. The bathroom was clean and mould free. All the usual bathroom inclsions were comlimentary including bottled water daily. We had the self serve Buffet for Dinner on our first day as we were too exhausted from the travellling to venture out. There was a variety of asian and western food to choose from. Breakfast was in the same room, with the same variety of food, only more breakfast choices such as fruit, eggs and toast. There was a variety of Chinese and Western guests and we were all catered for. Would have given 5* if the A/C was turned on

We booked this hotel through ctrip and didn't really had any great expectation. We reached the hotel late night and were really disappointed with the grin welcome we got at front desk. There were 2 guys speaking a little English. They made us to wait till they finish all Chinese speaking guests check-in though they came later than us. Forget about apologies, I don't think they even know that they should at least smile While receiving a guest. The female staff next day were at least better. Anyway finally we checked in to the room and were amazed by the look and cleanliness of the room. They were "really spacious and ultra clean". They had luxurious accessories and made us feel special. It took away all our bad experience in the lobby. Morning breakfast was ok but too less options for the hefty price that they charge. Could not check the hotel amenities as we spent next two days exploring Beijing. The location of the hotel is also very good considering its proximity to city attractions and railway station. With the better mannered front desk(including their appearance) I think this hotel will score 100%
