Stayed here for 4 nights recently while attending an official duty with LIC China productions team. Non-speaking of English language obviously is their most shortcoming. Therefore, make do with Google Translate! Sleep quality was good especially in my room at the 8th floor. Breakfast was alright, standard fare with options of either Chinese fares or Western fares. Obviously the choice of this hotel was made by my host, therefore for you to stay here, pls ensure prior arrangement on pickups/daily transport etc.

The hotel is actually outside of downtown. But it is still in a very busy and crowded area. There are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are big and comfortable. The breakfast is good. The service is okay. From a higher floor you can see the impressive skyline of the Olympia area with the famous Bird's Nest Stadium. Since there are many similar buildings in the area, the most taxi drivers can not find the hotel and the walking distance to a underground station is big, 1 to 2 km.

This is a terrible hotel. the reasons why are: 1. it does not cater for international clients: no one speaks english 2. it is on the wrong side of Wangfujing street 3.They are unable to get you a taxi within a reasonable spce of time. Not even within 15 minutes 4. They advertise being a 5 star hotel: we dined in the restaurant and the service was below every level: no english speaking staff, bringing the wrong drinks, forgetting orders. At 21:00- our dinner was halfway- they started changing the whole restaurant (bringing in lazy Suzies), and totally forget about us. Do not stay here.

This hotel is part of the games village complex which has been converted into hotels and condominiums. It is located very close (a short walking distance) to the Beijing Olympics games complex. Our suite was spacious with two separate bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom. Although the bedrooms are not very big, they are spacious enough to comfortably fit either a queen bed or two twin beds. As the airconditioners were not switched on, the rooms were very warm even during the early hours in the morning, making it difficult to get a good sleep. The selection of breakfast was not great, but adequate. The main problem we encountered was that the hotel did not accept credit cards when we checked in during the middle of the night. As the hotel also did not accept US dollars, we found it inconvenient to pay the required deposit. The room rates are reasonable at RMB980 (approximately US$160.00) per night for a two-bedroom suite, with breakfast included.

I stayed at the same time and for the same reason as Mary Ruth. In addition to her comments: the included breakfast was excellent with many choices, and the dining area was never crowded. The bed was more comfortable and the room more spacious than that of a colleague who stayed at a more expensive hotel next to the convention center. Other advantages of the Huiyuan Prime Hotel: Free wireless in guest rooms. The view from my room's balcony was fabulous. The bathroom was spacious, modern and had both a bathtub and shower with rain and regular shower heads. My colleague's bathroom was tiny and had poor water pressure in the shower.
