This is one of the new hotels in Beijing. The location is fantastic since it's right by Oriental plaza and plenty to do and see. The hotel is a boutique hotel so it's rather small, but each room is designed so beautifully. You can see the city from your room is it's so beautiful. The restaurant has a terrace and some of the room also has its own terrace. The hallway is nice and beautifully designed. I highly recommend staying when you are in Beijing.

We just returned from a Thanksgiving trip to Beijing and had a wonderful time! And one of the highlights of the trip was our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing! We stayed the last two nights at the MO and were amazed by the staff, the accommodations, the dining venues and everything else! When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the doormen and escorted to the beautiful lobby where the guest service agents (who have very chic outfits) assisted us with check-in. Although it was quite early (before 1pm), our room was ready and were shown to our room. Because I had mentioned in my reservation that we were having a belated birthday celebration for my partner, a lovely birthday amenity was awaiting for him in the room. We were touched by their acknowledgement and generosity (very festive with balloons, a card that was signed by several team members), as well as a cake and a bottle of wine! The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The bathroom floors were heated as were the towel racks (they think of everything)! Luxurious bathroom amenities were provided by Diptyque of Paris. We were impressed by the thoughtfulness provided by housekeeping whenever they made up the room (such as finding a bookmark in a book that was on the desk or a cleaning cloth left under my eyeglass case). They anticipate your needs without even asking. I really loved the feel of this boutique style hotel (only 73 rooms with 2 floors). It was very warm and cozy. Everyone that we came in contact with was kind, friendly and welcoming! We even got to meet the General Manager himself! Although everyone was fantastic, I would like to call special attention to Andy Guan (Executive Assistant Manager), Arvin Young (Mandarin Grill & Bar Manager), Evelyn, Jill and Sabrina at Cafe Zi and Catherine Shen at the reception desk. Super nice people. We had most of our meals here and I will write separate reviews for those. When we departed, several staff members walked us out and waived us good-bye, leaving us with the fondest of memories!

We stayed for 2 nites at the MO Wangfujing to be close to the Forbidden City. This hotel is absolutely superb! You cannot get a better central location than this and what is so delightful is the quality of the property with very luxurious finishing and decor matched with unparalleled service, which by far is amongst the best if not the best in any MO I had the pleasure of staying in. It is next door to the main shopping district of Wangfujing Street, which puts you within walking distance to excellent restaurants (the Dong Lai Shun Beijing Hotpot restaurant is just around the corner). Excellent guides can be arranged by concierge for the Forbidden City tour. We love the VIP package for transfer to airport which includes you breezing through immigration and bypass the queue! This hotel is very highly recommended.

Great hotel, with excellent facilities, conveniently situated. All staff extremely supportive, would recommend it and will come back. Breakfast was excellent, so the cocktails at MO bar. We stayed during winter so could not enjoy the outdoor space.
