Stayed in a single bed room. Room was nice and clean. Stayed for 2 nights. The place is very close to "Dongsi" metro station line 5&6. Exit E. There is a construction going on in front of the Hotel. So as of now the path to hotel is little difficult to find. I hope the construction will be over soon.... More

It's not the best hostel that I have stayed in. Small room, a bit dirty, flies in the bathroom, not the best area due to the construction site nextdoor. You hear everything through the walls/corridor. But, hostel and save some money is always nice. So it's OK place to live in for a couple of days.

We were in Beijing for a week and stayed at Happy Dragon! The people from the reception were really nice :) they like to help you by making plans for the day; telling what's nice in the city, which metro you need to take and what the best time is to go. the room was also really nice! the airco... I love this hostel! The rooms are not very big but they are clean and airconditioned. The only downside is that you have to throw your used toiletpaper in a open wastebin next to the toilet, for a westerner this doesn't seem very hygienic. But that's not the hostels fault. The hostel is very close to the subway (maximum 5... More

We stayed there with my partner first on a dorm room and the toilet was a nightmare, with the floor flooded at all times because is a traditional Chinese old fashion bathroom. However, service was awesome at the hostel!. Our bed got wet because it was a licking on the roof due to heavy rain season, and the nice girl... More

This hostel is a five minute walk to Dongsi metro station. The dorms were pretty cramped but the single rooms were good. Clean, kettle and attached bathroom. The staff mostly speak good English. A cafe serving up western fare which is handy, the chef could do with putting his mobile down and giving the kitchen a deep clean

Happy Dragon Hostel is located off a busy four lane road. It is set back in a commercial area, having local restaurants, shops selling ready-made garments and even some designer clothes. The area was basically lower middle class. The taxi drops you on the main road and you walk about 300 metres with your luggage. The whole area is woken... More

Despite our room being very hot (one of the other guests hijacked the AC remote) our stay was quite enjoyable. Each room had it's own bathroom rather than having dorm style bathrooms. Kind of a nice plus. The staff was very friendly and spoke some English which was helpful for our group. They even made some good breakfast - good... More

Staff was nice, and clearly speak English. Near with morning market and station (Dongsi Sta exit E) There is some restaurant, and if u're moslem u can find Halal restauran near the Hostel. they will offer tour to Great Wall and I think the price was OK. The room little bit narrow but the bathroom large.

The location is great, within walking distance to several tourist attractions and restaurants. The staff, is really friendly and alwayd willing to help. The hostel has everything you need when looking for a cheap & decent stay: clean, nice chilling areas, lockers, etc. However, the bar is a bit overpriced and they don't let you bring your own food from outside...
