You can clearly see that this is one place that I will not recommend to friends. I arrived with an Expedia booking paper in my hand but the hotel staff cannot find the booking. With a 'there's nothing else I can do' look, he offered his last room at the same price that I booked with Expedia for 2 nights.... More

This hostel sits in a very good location in Beijing considering proximity to the Hutongs, Drum Tower and metro connection. The hostel owner is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English. The room was clean and tidy, but had some torn wallpaper and such minor things. A nice little courtyard has two table to relax at and a beer... More

Evidently they must have some good rooms because I read all the reviews, but I can only write about the superior king room I had. It was the last available room at the time. As soon as I walked in I hated it. The bed took up almost the entire room. There was only a small bench to put your... More

Stayed here with a friend for just one night at the end of our visit to Beijing because we wanted to stay in an area with more of a buzz. It's quite easy to find on a quiet road in the Hutongs. Room was clean and comfortable. Because we were leaving early the next morning, we didn't take advantage of... More

Our whole family stayed here for a few days - the service is absolutely fantastic! They provide free wifi, free bottled water, free laundry machine and info on sightseeing, authentic local foods, etc. The owner is a friendly young fellow, a little shy. As long as you ask, he'll try his best to find a solution for you.

As professional in the hospitality industry, I found it not bad in general but surprise when I woke up the first morning that there wasn't breakfast as promised in booking.com. I think they should inform their costumers first about it because I wanted an hotel with breakfast included. Disappointed for having my stomach empty but really glad for the 24h... More

What a pleasant surprise to be in a tradition Hutong in Beijing and experience life with local families. The accommodations were simple but who needs that when you are visiting Beijing all day. The staff was friendly and spoke English. They helped us arrange bicycles to rent, tell us how to use the bus and answer any questions my wife... More

The hotel is good, well located, but the staff is not Professional. Only one of them know english and I had problem with my room key smart card that they was not working correctly. After 3 times of going to the reception I had to show them my anger and I ask them to give me the other key room,... More

This is a well-liked place for frequent visitors of Beijing. It is truly a home away from home for those seeking a nostalgic experience. The place has just gotten sweeter (or shall I say hotter;)) as the owner recently opened a Chungking (Chongqing) style noodle place near the Andingmen metro station that is 5-10 minutes away by walking. This hole-in-a-place... More
