This hostel was falsely advertised as a good hostel with facilities. This hostel lacks all facilities I would expect from a hostel. It is dirty, unfriendly staff, little to no hot water, no good shared facilities and little wifi. The staff refused to call me a taxi or help me in any way. The worst part was they allowed another guest to enter my room while I was out. I did not feel safe here. There are some good restaurants and ATMs within walking distance. The metro was close by. I do not recommend this hostel.

The beds are insanely hard and do not have proper mattresses and some of the bedding was very dirty and stained. It’s a 17 minute walk to the metro and to make this worse, it’s not in a nice location at all with no restaurants and bars nearby or easy access to any of the main tourist attractions. The 8 person room should be for 4-6 people and is crammed with no space to move around or put your bags. The staff do not speak English at all and everything is done through Google Translate. The staff have been very slow with every request, especially with checking in. On several occasions the staff have also been acting in a very inappropriate manner, play-fighting and ignoring the customers. The staff are reluctant to give out key cards to the rooms, with the 8 person room being given one key card for the whole group. One room also has a bike lock as its only lock. There are no individual lockers in each room apart from the room with the bike lock, and the staff were very reluctant to hand out keys for these lockers. Moving onto the public shower situation: in one, you can’t move the shower heads and the water sprays into the wall not on your body. The water takes around 15 mins to heat up and is also not consistently hot. The showers are also dirty, with loads of hair and a fellow member of my group some insects in the shower. They also expect you to buy soap for the toilet inside your bedroom. In conclusion, I’m beyond certain there are much much better options in Beijing for the same price. If I hadn’t been on a group tour that was pre-booked, I would have changed hostels before I’d even stayed the first night.

A horrible hostel with dirty rooms, bad wifi, broken toilets, thin mattress, bugs everywhere, cracks on the walls and no AC. Worst of all the staff were unhelpful and even rude in most conversations. They didn't want to order taxis. They didn't want to give us a key - instead we had to wait to be let in by them. They came into the rooms unannounced in the morning. They started cleaning while you were still there. They even pressured us to check out before 12 even though that is the set check out time. Will never come back. And I don't recommend anyone going.

I went there with my wife as we were travelling across china and wanted to see the great wall. We stayed for 2 nights and our stay was good. It was december and they provided a warm room with necessary amenities. Good for budget travellers

My friends and I booked this place during the national holiday. The taxi dropped us off on a street close to this one and when we wouldn't find it we called. No one spoke any english here. How is it an international hostel if they cannot even talk with those who book here. That was the first of my issues. Second, we had booked an reservation and put a deposit down in advance online. When we got there, they had no record of it and we did not receive our deposit back. The two girls ahead of us had the same issue. No record of their reservation and both them and my group had to pay more for our hostel stay. They also almost forgot to hand me back my passport. Instead of the private 3 person room we booked for ourselves, we were put into a four person room. No big deal except you could smell the broken toilet through the whole room. The showers were freezing for the first 10 minutes you were in there also. The only good thing was the free wifi in the lobby. This was my first hostel stay and most likely my last, especially to this location.
