We booked a tour that started in Beijing at this hotel, and as we arrived a few days early, we added on a couple of extra nights. Everything was OK, but nothing stood out - it was just an OK budget-mid priced hotel, however, it's location to many of the local tourist attractions (gardens, hutong district, shopping precinct, forbidden city,... This hotel was booked by our travel agent according to our request of a budget place in the center of Beijing for good sleep and recreation after the active sightseeing. It was really so. The hotel is in the quiet place on the edge of the old center of Beijing (Houtons) in the 5 minute walk from the Emperor's palace.... More

Well where do I start. Found the staff at reception rude and not helpful at all. My room was on ground floor but look liked it hadn't been cleaned for a while. Like everyone else, could have done with some redecoration. Far away from everything and to the nearest metro.

This hotel is a great spot, a stone throw from the exit of the forbidden city and the gardens. The metro however was a decent walk away, to both line 5 and 8. Whilst there is a spectacular view of the gardens the staff swiftly kick you off rooftop at sunset. If staying on level 1 which is the ground... More

The hotel is pretty run down, and has a depressing air about it. It is not very clean either. The rooms are OK, and some amenities like towels, kettle and soap are supplied, however they are very basic. The hotel is accessible via a side street and therefore isn't very easy to find. The staff are very rude, and not... More

This Hotel has reasonable amenities but is badly in need of renovation. The Hotel is a long way from the nearest subway and the reception staff were unfriendly and un-responsive. In addition an early morning wake-up call did not eventuate and there was no apology.

Reasonably good hotel. Little bit dated interior room design. Some maintenance needs to be done, washroom especially. Our shower head needed to be replaced. The hotel is located in a back alley, make sure that you have a working Google maps. There are 2 locations for the same hotel on Google maps, the closer one to Forbidden City is correct.... More

The hotel is pretty standard but really its not about that. It is a stone's throw from key incredible sights of Beijing but gets even better being tucked away off a little street with a thriving market life. It was great to walk out of the courtyard to see city folk going about their business rather than being caught up... More

The location is ideal. You walk out of the hotel and Jingshan Park is at your doorstep. Turn left and you have the local markets. Small shops haave food and drinks available. A further 5 minutes walk and you are at Beihai Park which also has a larger market area outside. If you feel really energetic the Forbidden City and... More

Stayed there for one night, but it was good overall. Nice area around. Very calm for central Beijing. Reception doesn't speak english, only chinglish. Wifi has some questions to be asked. A cool hutong street just around the corner.
