Pros 1. Location (near to subway, near to mcd & kfc, right beside delicious roasted duck) 2. Good shower Cons 1. Expensive 2. Dirty room, dirty bathrooms 3. Rude staff 4. Small hotel, very narrow alleys 5. Rundown rooms (flooding bathrooms, stinking bathrooms, non functioning aircond/heater, spoilt doors)
I was a solo traveler for a business event, easy to find as soon as I exited the train station it was located right across the street. Great location. Check in was easy and fast they took a photo copy of my passport and I was good to go. Now when I checked into the room it was horrible. The room was a three bed room which I did not understand because when I made the reservation I specified a single bed. But I did not put up a fuss. The room had bugs and the worst water damage I've ever seen a room have. Unfortunately I wasn't able to ask to be moved because I was running late and did not have time plus it was a one night stay. Now when I took a shower it leaked everywhere on the floor. I would not stay again or tell anyone else to stay unless they clean and update the rooms
My travel group nicknamed this the Horror Hotel. We arrived at the hotel, the receptionist spoke no english (not a surprise, Google Translate is a MUST if visiting China) We checked in by showing the reservation and our passport. There was NO communication from her at all. Once she copied the passport etc she handed us the key cards with the room number that was it. No Hi No thank you Nothing. We assumed 2** would be level two so get into the lift and went upstairs. Well the horror started as soon as the lift doors opened. It was disgusting. I dont think the floor had ever been vacuumed. The walls were covered in Mould. It smelt musty. Like some haunted corridor. We Opened our rooms up which had a terrible smell. Once as all of China a smell of cigarettes and mould too. Under the AC looked like something had dripped down the wall and marks all over the walls. There was mould and wall paper coming off. The bedside lamp had plastic tape on it seaming to hold it up and the actual shade had a screw from it into the wall to stop it falling down. Once positive the bathroom actually seam to be clean and the sheets were ok. Not as many stains as I was expecting. Our rooms had a widow in the corridor... We checked out early in the morning and the same reception girl has slept there over night with her head on the desk, who we woke when coming into the lobby to check out. The wifi hardly worked and kept coming out. I would NOT stay here again. Only positive it is across the road from the Subway station which in winter was good.…
When I and my friends were there, they and I talked to the receptionist in English and all was ok. When they and I went to the room, we felt a horrible smell. Because of this, they and I came back to the hotel reception to talk about this problem. The woman was very rude and she didn't know how to speak in English anymore. She just did bad faces and spoke in chinese. Every night, the night receptionist was rude. The hotel looks like a an abandoned place. They don't clean the room everyday and don't change towels.
From the airport, we took the airport express then the subway to dongsi station. The hotel is across the dongsi exit C. Dongsi exit B is beside Mc Do and hotel is around the corner. Check in was fast. We gave 100 yuan deposit. I paid 735 yuan for 3 nights We had a room at the 3rd floor with 3 beds. Our room was okay but the bathroom sink had a leak, so the floor was always wet. There was a flat screen tv and daily 2 bottles if water. During out last night we came back at 4 pm from our great wall trip, tge electricity was out from 4 to 8 pm. There was no generator and emergency lights were not working. The location of the hotel was great. It was beside mc do , a supermarket and restaurant. The restaurant beside it sells pork and beef pies for 7 yuan and they were quite tasty. The hotel was a 15 minute walk to wangfujing. The hotel okay if you are just looking for a place to sleep for a few days.…
