Was allocated to this hotel after missing my connecting Air China flight and had to stay for an unplanned night in Beijing. The hotel shuttle was very dirty and old. The Golden Phoenix is a top contender for one of the dirties hotels I have ever seen and I have traveled to 14 countries all over the world. The english... More

We stayed here for a night thanks to Air China and a failed engine. It was doable. Beds were a bit hard for western tastes. Carpet stained and corners a bit dusty. Better than chairs in the airport? Absolutely! I'd take it every time...

Room very small for $800 rmb a night (about 129 usd- too much), it is old and bathroom showed hard usage. They do provide fee shuttle service from Airport and back next day. Saves a 100 rmb taxi, 30 minute ride or a crowded 30 rmb bus to downtown Beijing. Best hotel with English speaking staff is the Beijing-Tibet Hotel... More

We were offered this hotel by Air China when our weather delayed flight from Shenyang caused us to miss our UA connection at PEK. First, UA would never offer a hotel and meals for a weather delay so kudos to Air China for a free mini vacation in Beijing. Second, I can only describe this hotel in the three words... More

We laughed when we read the reviews of this hotel after we were taken there when our Air China flight was cancelled. They seem to have a deal with the airline and if your flight is cancelled this is where you will end up! The main problem is that they only provide shared rooms. "It's not free!" the receptionist snapped... More

1st of if Air China cancels your flight in Beijing and offers to pay for your hotel, SAY NO and book your own! This hotel was worst than a motel in the dirty part of NYC. I can tough out most things but this one cost me. Staff isn't helpful and rooms are dirty.

So coming from the Conrad Hong Kong to this place was quite a step down needless to say..... Like a lot of folks posting here, I was a victim of Air China's incompetence and was sent to this property for a night. Being late at night and not knowing Mandarin, I just went with the flow and took what was... More

I was stranded due to the recent snowstorm in the DC area. Had to stay in Beijing overnight at this hotel. It was really cold in the lobby. Staff is not very friendly and I was told I have to pay $25 out of pocket because Air China only covers the cost if two people stay in one room. The... More

This hotel seems to be the default hotel for passengers that missed their Chinese airline flights. Considering the posted rate is around $50-$60USD, they probably have some type of agreement where they only pay $10 per head. This $10 includes the food too lol. So if you find yourself stranded at the airport due to the airline's fault, please do... More
