I really liked this little hotel in Beijing. It is located right beside a small shopping street with lots of small stores. I would not say the hotel is luxury, but it is very charming and I can really recommend it. The staff is friendly and really helpful. I would go here again.
Pretty boutique hotel in old Beijing. Very good service. Reception speaks good English. Located in old Beijing in a pedestrian area full of shops and restaurants. Rooms were very nice and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is good and they can bring it up to your room. Had a great stay. Totally recommend
This hotel is about 10 steps away from the popular tourist street NaN Lou Guxiang and quite close to the drum and bells towers, HouHai lake and ‘real’ china. I took a chance coming here for a staycation as I usually go to a different traditional courtyard hotel, and the overall impression is average. The hotel is beautiful and a nice mix between Chinese and western . Most rooms appear to have a terrace or small balcony and our room was very clean and spacious. I’ve given it a 3 because breakfast was terrible, tasteless frozen hash browns and limp soggy toast with 1 egg that isn’t even served on a plate, rather on a hospital cafeteria tray with a piece of paper. Customer service was basic. Despite speaking Chinese, we had to phone 3 times to get our room serviced and we had to wait 30 minutes for breakfast on the second day even though you have to pre- order it. The Orchid hutong hotel, is quite close, a lot cheaper, the breakfast is amazing, it’s more western needs friendly so I would spend your money there if you are debating. However this place is gorgeous and the room is big. …
My partner and I stayed here for three nights and were sad to leave. The hotel is beautiful and in the best location imaginable. This hutong is located on a street full of shopping and delicious food, but the hotel is tucked back a little so it’s perfectly quiet. The staff was fantastic, they booked out forbidden city tickets for us and offered many other great services, they were even able to let us have late check out. The staff even packed a sandwiches for us because we were leaving for the Great Wall before breakfast started. I could not recommend this hotel strongly enough. Its clean, unique, spacious, and had the most comfortable beds!
By good fortune we found this place on TripAdvisor and took a chance on the reviews. Turns out it’s perfect. We are here with daughter and son in-law, we wanted somewhere close to Tiananmen Square and of course a base for our trip to the Great Wall. The family suite is 2 rooms with 2x en-suites separated by a small sitting area. Tiananmen Square is a 5 km walk from the hotel, we walked there and got a taxi back for RMB 20. The people at the hotel could not be more helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy. You are right in the middle of an ‘up market’ market - many food and shopping options - wonderful. Highly recommend this place
