Went for a group tour and stayed two nights on 23rd and 24th Oct 2015. Rooms allotted to us were not upto standard.... very dim lights in the rooms, stained carpets, stale bed linen.... housekeeping definitely needs to be improved. Breakfast was good, both American and Chinese. Location was quite good with a short walk taking you to some small... More

I escorted my group of 18-persons in Sept. 2015 and we stayed there for 3-nights. Through-out our stay, I never received even a single complaint from my group about the rooms. It's a clear testimony that indeed hotel rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is ok and location is good.

Tricky one this. Good rooms, clean tidy and modern. Good restaurants and very efficient service, with the exception of one breakfast where the staff seemed overwhelmed. The problem here is that language is a real struggle; they do not speak English as well as you might expect for a large tourist hotel. The other problem is the generic nature of... More

Stayed at this hotel for the first 5 nights for a group trip through EF tours. Our hotel room had two double beds and was clean (no noticeable stains on carpet or peeling wallpaper). We did have to go down to the front desk to ask for a shower curtain to be put in our room which was quickly put... More

The title of review pretty much says it all. I don't have a comparison in terms of local hotels just what I'm accustomed to in the U.S. We did not select this hotel but it was part of a tour itinerary. Nevertheless accommodations were reasonable. Each room has two smaller beds. We had a fold-away bed added to accommodate a... More

The good: it's location, close to the Temple of Heaven, the famous Kung Fu Show, Pianyifang Roast Duck; close to an underground station and the Pearl Market; the rooms are slightly old fashioned, but most are decently clean; Wi-Fi in the lobby; The bad: the lobby bar is terribly dull; Wi-Fi *only* in the lobby; breakfast restaurant easily overcrowded; hideous... Our whole family stayed here when visiting Beijing for a wedding. We all enjoyed the hotel, especially the good English skills and helpful attitude of the staff. We could walk to the Temple of Heaven, which is a large beautiful park with the round temple in it. We could also walk to the huge Pearl Market that has luggage, jewelry,... More

This hotel from the outside, has a massive presence. The hotel lobby it is spacious and huge, but don't let that deceive you. I recently returned from a business trip and I stayed at this hotel for three days... The rooms are nothing to speak of... In the bathroom their are soap suds on the outside door of the bathroom,... The hotel is very centrally located and delivers an ok standard. Despite our request for a non-smoking room we felt that people smoked in it before. There was also smoke on the corridors which was negative. The bathrooms are ok, but could need an in-depth cleaning. The breakfast buffet mainly caters for an asian clientele. The highlight are the on-demand... More

Went here on a tour. The rooms were spacious and clean and always kept up. The breakfast was an incredible spread--think American buffets but even bigger--I was very surprised by this. Truly-a great start to our day. The lobby was the only place where the internet was available for use--I would have preferred it in the rooms, of course, but... More
