Really nice experience -- stay in a small, charming Chinese courtyard in a hutong, which are the traditional Beijing neighborhoods that have been disappearing over time. Wifi is available, as is air conditioning, and the breakfast options include a Chinese option with delicious dumplings, and a Western option that I did not have. I had no problems communicating with the... More

We stayed here with my mom, dad (in their 60s) and my g/f. The pros: A very authentic hutong - Beijing experience. The atmosphere is a great as it can be. The neighbours are 'real' Beijingese and no touristy feel. There is a major road 5 minutes away with many shops, restaurants and everything you need. Another good pizza place... More

Being in Beijing for the second time I decided again not to stay in one of the big hotel chains but go for the traditional hutong hotel again after last year's good experience. The hotel is just five minutes away from busy streets full of little shops and bars and of course the Drum and Bell Towers. For exploring the... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend in May 2013. The propety is located down a small hutong which joins with some amazing streets full or bars, restaurants and shops. The rooms were immaculate, the breakfast was brilliant and the staff were very welcoming and gave great service throughout our stay. If staying here you must visit the guitar bar round... More

As others have noted, this is a lovely, small hotel located in a quiet hutong in Beijing. If you're looking for a traditional Western hotel with a big exercise room, restaurant and other amenities, this is not the place for you. But if you want to experience Beijing in a more genuine way, it's a fun place to stay. The... More

We arrivied on the night of the worst storm in Beijing for decades, the hotel had arranged transport for us and the driver waited 6 hours for us, thank goodness. This was a glimpse of the standard of service to come. My daughter (10) and I felt at home from the first moment, great location, walking distance to so many... More

In a quiet Hutong but not far from the action. Can walk to Drum/Bell towers, busier Hutongs, Lakes and Lama and Confucius Temples. Older couple running the Hotel were very friendly and helpful but with limited English. We ended up using our respective iPads to translate what we want to say. They had a younger girl who spoke good English... More

Great location. Peaceful and authentic. Yet within comfortable walking distance to one of the city's nicest hutong shopping street, Nanluoguxiang. Excellent service. Very prompt in responding to email queries and sorting out pre-booking logistic details such as airport transfer (we arrived 12:50am), room suitability, etc. The manager was very helpful in providing transport and itinerary advice when we were there....
