This place was amazing. It's in a superb location in Hutong on S. Luogu Alley and easily accessible from the Metro. Juts wandering the Hutong was good enough, let alone the likes of the Forbidden City a reasonable walk away. It's a small boutique hotel with really friendly helpful staff who were amazing and gave us great recommendations for local... More

Nice room, perfect location in the Hutong which is definitely my favorite place to visit Beijing. You will feel very comfortable there. Houhai Lake, drum & bell towers are very close and you can access there by metro quite easily if you are not afraid of a 15mn walk

We were wanting to experience the classic, old Beijing lifestyle and neighborhood. This hutong more than fits the bill. At first, we're a little bit worried getting to this courtyard residence. Barely an hour from the airport, our driver (who approached us upon exiting the terminal at around 5am with his private van). He dropped us off on a small... More

Located in the Gu lou area near the Drum and Bell Tower, Hou Hai Lake. Clean and friendly. Comfortable room and mattresses. Calm oasis in the middle of a busy boutique neighbourhood. Great if you want to see how real people in the hutongs live.

Our taxi driver persisted and eventually found this place. We were glad he did. Tooked down an alleyway set in the hub of a vibrant, buzzing area of trendy boutique shops, bars and eateries its location was perfect for us. Our room was clean, spacious with ensuite ( proper western toilet - something you will learn to appreciate in Beijing!)... More

My family and I stayed at the Hutongren Courtyard Hotel during February and really enjoyed our stay. Most hotels I've stayed at in China have very poor service, hard beds, and no character. This hotel was very different as the girls at the front desk were very friendly and kind. One of the rooms we booked had a broken heater... More

First off, it is very hard to find. My cab driver had no idea where it was so I had to wonder about 12 blocks with a kind elderly couple who didn't speak any English and they were able to find it. Make sure you have the address printed out in Mandarin before you go. Once you find it you'll... More

Lovely little place tucked down a back alley of an alley way. Can be difficult to find, so print some good maps or see if you can do a google earth walk by. Friendly staff who spoke very good English. The hutongs are a very lively place with tons of food options both simple and adventurous- although at some places... More

We stayed 4 nights in this lovely small hotel in a very cool area, location is great for the hutong, close to the tube station and other local attractions, staff are friendly and helpful and so is the cat and dog! Our room had its own bathroom and basic furnishings which was perfect for us, including a nice soft bed... More

Can't believe this costs the same as those other backpack bunkbed packing hostels. This is quiet, the atmosphere is dreamy and romantic. You can have a lovely breakfast and the staff has all the time to give you some TLC. Zen. For the price, it's impossible to get more Zen. Elegance. Catch up on sleep here!!

A handful of rooms-double from RMB 600 and single from RMB 480 – surround a stone-floored atrium filled with plants, natural light, books in various languages, wi-fi and a small bar.
