Nice design, well located in Beijing (in particular if you are leaving early for the airport) and a very competently run hotel. So why not 5 stars? - Lots of wood in the room - how hygienic is that really? Wooden shower floor? Not a fan. I much prefer the stone surfaces in the HK sister hotel, the Upper House... More

I simply couldn't fault this hotel. I arrived with my parents after using the VIP airport pick up offered via email a few days prior to arrival. Staff at reception were friendly and welcoming, offering us the opportunity to have our rooms next to each other. We were then showed to our rooms by the assistant director of guest experience,... Stayed here a few days with friends. Rooms are very large and amenities are excellent. It may take you a while to find out where everything is in the room due to the modern design, so it's worth paying attention to the luggage guy! Minibar is free. Breakfast is excellent. Pool is amazing. Location is great and close to bars... More

It has been almost 5 years since I first started staying at the Opposite House for my regular business (and sometimes leisure) visit to Beijing, and the House never disappoint. The room are always well maintained, and service highly personal, right from management to Bell service. During this rather long stay (10 nights), in addition to the customary turn down... More

It's a pleasant looking hotel with great service, The waitress in JING YAA TANG had made our dining experience remarkable..The cherry tomato and dumpling recommended by CHER was really yummy,.She was very kind towards us..Even when we troubled her 2 times to change the wine order she still kept smiling and help us to adjust our order according to our... This fine hotel was located conveniently near the office I was visiting and is in an outstanding neighborhood. Lots to eat, see, visit, and do within walking distance, which is important in this megacity. The absolute best part was meeting James Bridle at the Mesh lounge. He was extremely generous with his time and experience in helping me to make... More

Location, Location! Great place in the middle of the action: bars, restaurants, high-end shopping (i.e. Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen). The property itself is spacious, and modern. The contemporary art makes a great visual appeal through the common spaces. The bathrooms and wooden bathtub is a huge hit.

Very helpful staff, all of them spoke fluent English and were timely and effective in satisfying every request we made, eg they arranged for us to have a delicious duck prepared at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, even though we arrived at the hotel after "conventional" dinner time (we had dinner at 10 pm). Wonderful design, very comfortable room, free minibar,... More

Contemporary art, clean lines, open atriums and soaring ceilings create a deliciously airy and restful feeling at this serene enclave in the heart of Sanlitun. Step outside and you are surrounded by the ultra chic designer shops and restaurants of this urban mall. But inside, you are pampered by attentive service (all staff speak fluent English) and blissfully purified air.... More
