We are 2 couples that traveled from Finland, across Russia, Mongolia, and China by train. All of the hotels we stayed at were very good to excellent, however, our stay in Beijing was a notch above the rest. To start with, the location is in the old section of Beijing in the Dongcheng District down a side street. The low... More

Stayed here for 5 nights in July. We booked through a travel agency and our room was far too small for two people. There was not enough room to even place our two suitcases, so one went on the floor by the door, and my husband cleared off the narrow table the TV was sitting on and the second one... More

Location was perfect - down the street from the commercial street filled with young people each evening, great shops and restaurants, and several minutes walk from the river attractions. After a day of sightseeing, we enjoyed time walking Nanluoguxiang and a honey ginger tea at Piggly Jiggly's cafe.Courtyard 7 is a traditional hutong, with very comfortable rooms surrounding the inner... My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and fell in love with the neighborhood (a hutong, one of the traditional neighborhoods vs the skyscraper-filled newer sections.) The hotel itself is tranquil and very clean and well-kept. The buildings are traditional-feeling, with modern updated bathrooms, and the beds are comfortable and very soft by Chinese standards. As others have... More

We recently stayed 10 nights at Courtyard 7 and couldn't have found a better place to stay in Beijing: the location in Nanluoguxiang was perfect, with lots of lovely shops, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants - it's definitely Chinese hipster territory - and a beautiful street for strolling in the evening. The metro is located at the south end of... More

We really enjoyed staying in Courtyard 7 on our first night in Beijing - fantastic property located in a lovely Hutong district of Beijing (lots of great shops and bars walking distance away). The rooms are located well inside the courtyards of the property, away from the general noise of the shopping streets. The room was traditionally decorated, nice and... More

Hutong location was wonderful! Walking around our neighborhood at 6 am was one of my favorite Beijing experiences. The rooms were beautiful, with nice curtained bed, nice bathroom, excellent wi-fi, tea, robes and slippers. Bed in one of our rooms might be an issue if you're tall, as when I laid completely flat (5'8") my feet hit the frame. But... More

My sister and I began our journey through China here. We were very impressed with the hotel. The Hutongs are an assault on the senses coming from the west, but this place is so tranquil it's a great place to escape the hubbub of Beijing while still being central and close to the action. Lovely traditional Chinese courtyard setting -... More

Such a lovely cosy stay with two beautiful huskies that the hotel has as pets! Yummy breakfast bar and authentic decorated rooms with 4 poster beds. Right in the heart of Dongcheng district with easy to reach transport links. Hidden gem off the side of high street with lots of shops and restaraunts both Chinese and western.

Lovely, quiet, historical. A must visit. Very good shopping and restaurants nearby. Free postcards showing this historical Hotung. Surprisingly comfortable, and full of modern conveniences. As in all hotels in China, get a VPN to use your gmail :)
