I can really recommended this place. The property, room & hutong location all have a lot of traditional character. The breakfast (included in the room price) was the best we had in China. Room was clean & bathroom modern. It’s located in a quiet spot, yet just a few steps away from a vibrant pedestrian street. The only real negative... More

There is nothing bad I have to say about Courtyard 7. My husband and I have just returned from our first trip to China and had two weeks booked there. Most guests seemed to be staying for shorter periods, no doubt as they had multi-trips booked, however we wanted to make the most of Beijing and base ourselves there and... More

A terrific hotel in the heart of a fabulous historic section of Beijing. Feels like you've gone back in time, and the old courtyards in the hotel are a quiet respite from busy Beijing. The hotel amenities are very comfortable, though not luxurious, the hotel staff friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fine. Best part is that it is... More

My first trip to China and I booked this hotel in the old district to get a different experience. I was dropped off at the main street and had to pull my suitcase through a couple of blocks of very small alley's to find the hotel as cars are not allowed to drive these small streets. I did not know... More

I chose this hotel based on the reviews here. I had never traveled to China and had my own trepidation about traveling there alone. This hotel, converted from a traditional hutong courtyard complex, ended up being the perfect place for me. I had the hotel arrange for a car to pick me up at the airport, which worked out quite... Great location just off a main street full of shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel is wonderfully maintained and very traditional, but with modern comforts (comfortable bed, clean modern washroom and air conditioning, tv). It is an authentic courtyard residence and is a great experience to stay in. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed my stay at Courtyard 7 itself. The staff are extremely sweet, the beds are comfortable, the walk to the main street refershing, the shower is hot and the rooms are very clean. Two bottles of water were provided free of charge daily and they were appreciated. I also enjoyed being so centrally located (close enough to the North... More

Best place to stay in Beijing if you compare price to quality. Very nice location, next to a very busy touristy street but anyway very very calm. Great staff. Only the breakfast was very limited. Would recommend!

Set in a complete typical hutong structure complete with front and back courtyards with a large square courtyard between, the (air-conditioned) rooms came complete with repros of opium beds sporting comfy mattresses (a rarity in China). The bathrooms had big showers with lots of hot water. It was so nice to step out of my room, not into a corridor,... More
