Great location, close to the subway, 15 mins walk to shopping malls, 15 mins walk to bars etc. Easy and friendly check in, with well appointed rooms. Bakery down stairs is great. Would recommend to friends and family.

Staff helpful but speak limited English. Rooms clean and tidy. No breakfast available so we had to venture out. There is a mini market to the left near exit B of Ping Anli subway station. Although a currency exchange centre they wouldn't change sterling despite it being the first on their sign. Do master the subway, your passport to the... More

We stayed at the Huguosi Hotel for 7 nights as an introduction to a Vodkatrain tour. The Huguosi Hotel is named after Huguosi Street on which it is located, a fantastic food street with great restaurants and a metro station close by - which makes travelling around Beijing an absolute breeze. All the staff we dealt with were extremely friendly,... More

The district this hotel is on is great - lots of places to eat and explore. Close to the subway (2 minute walk). We could not find any staff that spoke English and were part of a tour group and various people were stung with hidden costs on their departure. We found everyone smoked in their rooms as well, some... More

From the caged birds and crickets in the foyer, to the lively streetscape just outside the door, this hotel ticks the boxes for atmosphere. It is a little worn around the edges, but clean and comfortable, set in hutong district. Easy few steps to metro, and only 3 stops to tiananmen. Ideal.

Nice hotel, if you get a larger room on the street side. I shifted rooms as the first one I got was tiny and really dark - the second room was like being in a different hotel...really limited breakfast choices but enough to fill up for the morning. Patchy wi fi in the room. Brilliant location with metro nearby -... More

Stayed for a few nights. The hotel is nice but nothing special. The location on the other hand, is really good. Away from the noisy streets, the hotel is located next to a number of nice restaurants, a few coffee shops and a pedestrian street (Chinese style). Best of all the Forbidden city and most other places in central Beijing... More

It was close to the subway which was nice and the bakery everyone raves about does live up to the great reviews. Beds were extremely hard and my partner arranged for housekeeping to bring up a duvet so I could put... More

I stayed here with my partner in a twin room (which is another matter) and the bathroom was not very private. There is a glass wall for the shower and toilet which has a few frosted horizontal stripes on it. Everytime we used the toilet we could clearly see each other. I have no idea why this was done and...
