I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. The hotel isn’t bad, but there is definitely room for improvement. Pros: Good service and friendly staff, nice pool, easy access to the beach. My colleagues and I arrived quite late at around 11pm and even though the kitchen was closed, the staff were nice enough to prep a quick meal for us and accommodated us for a late dinner. Cons: The biggest con for me was no hot water in my shower for the 2 days I was there, and even after complaining twice, this wasn’t solved and was treated quite casually. The curtains in the room are very light - light gets in at night which can be distracting if you need full darkness to sleep. Noise from nearby venues can also be heard through the rooms. Then there the little things like no master light switch by the bedside or plug-in points for chargers etc. The rooms were otherwise ok, the food was not bad, there was a nice bar and the staff are friendly.

Located in the northern part of the city of Mombasa, on Nyali beach, above a reef, this resort delights with the courtesy of the employees and the attention with which they surround you. Check-in went very quickly, and the room was available in a few minutes after arrival, even though it was quite early in the morning. The orientation process was very useful for getting familiar with the hotel's services. The room is clean, bright and spacious. The main restaurant offers varied meals and tasty. The pool and the surrounding area are not crowded and are carefully maintained.

I’ve heard many good things about this hotel but my experience as miserable. The wifi and tv in my room didn’t work. Went to the reception where they sent the “maintance guy” He said the remote had no batteries and the he would reset the wifi. I never saw or heard from him again. Tried calling the reception and the no one was picking. The following day, I went for breakfast. I kept calling for a waiter to get some tea since there is no self service. They said they’d come but none appeared for the 40 mins I was there. I asked the FB manager (I think) and he said he’d organize. I waited another 10minutes -nothing. Only to find him relaxing on seats chatting. Interesting observation is the waiters started coming my side once foreign visitors started sitting next to me. Nonetheless, I was not served. I’m giving it 1 star especially for the pancake and water I took for breakfast. I’d not recommend for a solo local tourist.

As an avid traveler, I owe this to the world. Especially during this Covid period.
Positives 1. Clean rooms, relatively modern bathroom, relatively clean towels. 2. Soft water from the Taps. 3. Hotel has done quite well to observe Covid rules in the dining areas. 4. Excellent food variety. 5. Very friendly staff. 6. Beautiful swimming pool. 7. Private beach area. 8. Automatic corridor and other common users lighting. 9. Value for money is definitely there. 10. Beautiful garden. 11. Close proximity to malls and other amenities. 12. Raised so that you have a beautiful view of the ocean. 13. Beautiful dining area. 14. I’ll give it marks for Tranquil.
Negatives 1. Although I got a small discount, the hotel is relatively pricey for budget holiday goers especially during this Covid period. 2. The bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable. Also the bed is made such that there’s nowhere to rest your back.

Good food, though music very loud on Saturday. Atmosphere is cool during the day, Caring management "mr. Fredrick" ,took care of my old father, making sure he gets him daily from the room on his wheelchair to bring him to the restaurant. I congratulate him for this. He also tactfully sorted out our issues regarding food and i can truly say that we must come back.

Our stay at Bahari Beach Hotel was nothing short of bliss.From the professional & attentive staff, clean & well maintained swimming pool & rooms and service.The food selection was great too. Having booked the hotel last minute as we had to check out from a horrible neighboring hotel in haste after spending one night, the booking & check in was swift. We requested for some snacks to carry with us for our boat ride & they availed them for us well packed.The staff were very friendly always checking if everyone was ok during meal times & by the pool.The kids were also engaged in some activities though they can add more of those to keep them occupied. The all inclusive package could also do with a wider drinks (alcoholic) selection. New Year’s dinner was amazing & the fireworks won the night!Overall, we had a pleasant stay & would definitely return for another stay in future! Thank you Bahari Beach Hotel.

The hotel has a great unique atmosphere. Awesome view to the ocean, built direct within a cliff, nice walking ways with stairs to the beach, turtels, perfect pool with great service for relaxing. All day it's very quite. So it's nice to come down after busy days. Also the beach is beautiful, because the tide makes it very special. If the water is high, it's nice for swimming. If it'low, you can walking. Great service and very kind persons made our stay perfect. Asante sana. The hotel is also perfect located. Nearby are always tuk tuks to go to different beaches, bars and restaurants or to go to Mombasa Old Town. We would recommend to have dinner once in The Moorings, a Mocktail at Kingston Beachbar and walk to Yuls for a lovely Cappuccino. The rooms are all with balcony and some having a wonderful view to the ocean. The AC works well and WIFI is everywhere with good speed. To mention is the pressure of water in shower could be better and the food could be more varied in vegetarian dishes.

The pros: the staff is friendly especially the front desk, the manager was lovely, the views are relaxing and the gym is FANTASTIC. Seriously its the best gym I've been to in all of Africa.

Perfectly adequate hotel with a beautiful ocean view (I would not recommend walking on the beach as it’s sort of overrun with touts and vagrants.) Rooms are clean and well-maintained. I think some of the terror stuff in recent years + obviously COVID have seriously hurt their business but it’s still a beautiful hotel. If interested in visiting Old Town, I recommend requesting one of their regular drivers, Frederick Musita, he is excellent
