I stayed here for a couple of days while on business and loved it. The clientele is mature holidaymakers who enjoy peace and quiet by the poolside, good food, music and evening dance! The rooms have a nautical theme and crisp white linen and are very clean. The hotel observes a no-plastic bottles policy which is excellent. I must make more time for the hammock overlooking the sea when I return to Mombasa!

Sept22-oct9th 2022 A family of 7 staying at Bahari from uk, wow! I loved every minute of staying at this hotel, staff are very attentive, friendly and make you feel at ‘home’ the location is amazing, on the edge of the Indian Ocean Whitch is so beautifull, my room was 101 so had a side window to pool and restaurant, and big window facing the ocean, watching the sunrise from your bed! Bedroom was lovely, lovely comfy beds, big pillows,tea/coffee and daily fresh water, fridge useable for own goods also, a safe all These are no charge, bonus! Big grounds, clean lovely pool, pool attendant making sun beds for you when you need them, breakfast, we tend to have eggs, omelette, fried, pancakes and bacon, fresh melon, Lunch is buffet or you can order from menu, harvey adored the pizzas and the cooked chips best ever! Addicted to those ha ha, The beach is the best along that side I think anyway and when tide is out you can carry in walking down it’s so lovely warm like bath water sea! It’s beautifull to stand at the hotel bar and watch the world go by with a drink looking at the ocean! Tables always set beautifull and staff on hand to take regular drinks for you, Staff loved my lad Harvey he said HI and misses you all especially Doris always made time for him, drinks galore and pizzas! We did 4 days safari and hotel room was made and looked after on return, entertainment is good with good singers, acrobats, each night, honestly we had the best time our first time to Kenya and memories to last a life time ❤️❤️ The only tiny thing is we had loved to go in the beach more and not be hassled all the time, I don’t like being rude, but I love just walking along the beach without feeling I can’t, so would of loved to to that more , maybe a note to sellers ask once then leave alone so can enjoy more, Will definitely only ever book Bahari hotel if we can come back to Kenya again Thankyou so much Doris and team ❤️

A great hotel not to big. Beautiful facility with a very friendly staffs which tried very hard to make everything right for the guests. Especially the animator "Bella" always had a strong performance. Especially her aqua aerobics was funny and challenging. Her choice of music for the evening shows was also really great. The hotel with the African atmosphere was really enjoyable and that's why I can only recommend this hotel without reservation.

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. The hotel isn’t bad, but there is definitely room for improvement. Pros: Good service and friendly staff, nice pool, easy access to the beach. My colleagues and I arrived quite late at around 11pm and even though the kitchen was closed, the staff were nice enough to prep a quick meal for us and accommodated us for a late dinner. Cons: The biggest con for me was no hot water in my shower for the 2 days I was there, and even after complaining twice, this wasn’t solved and was treated quite casually. The curtains in the room are very light - light gets in at night which can be distracting if you need full darkness to sleep. Noise from nearby venues can also be heard through the rooms. Then there the little things like no master light switch by the bedside or plug-in points for chargers etc. The rooms were otherwise ok, the food was not bad, there was a nice bar and the staff are friendly.

COVID-19 was bad. It ravaged business. More so the tourism sector so it was refreshing to be by the beach, for business, but also an opportunity to relax. The hotel has a cool rustic feeling, very clean linen and very friendly staff. I loved my stay in the place

The staff at the hotel are extremely warm across the resort....the beach is pleasant and free of urchins near the hotel.......the over all layout of the hotel is interesting with numerous vantage points at various levels .....topped off with a bar overlooking the beach stretch which is well worth the view... the food is good and service is attentive.... The rooms are disappointing ....I had taken a standard room but it was very basic with outdated fittings and amenities...for the cost of the standard room, this is a tremendous downside...... the beach is clean but has the usual share of hawkers.....

The place was amazing…everything, from the rooms, the beach, pool area with plenty of palm trees, flowers and greenery, restaurant and food. The service and all staff were exceptional. Just to mention some of them who made our stay really enjoyable: Bella, John, Maureen, Lillian, Mary and Thomas…

Our stay at Bahari Beach Hotel was nothing short of bliss. From the professional & attentive staff, clean & well maintained swimming pool & rooms and service. The food selection was great too. Having booked the hotel last minute as we had to check out from a horrible neighboring hotel in haste after spending one night, the booking & check in was swift. We requested for some snacks to carry with us for our boat ride & they availed them for us well packed. The staff were very friendly always checking if everyone was ok during meal times & by the pool. The kids were also engaged in some activities though they can add more of those to keep them occupied. The all inclusive package could also do with a wider drinks (alcoholic) selection. New Year’s dinner was amazing & the fireworks won the night!Overall, we had a pleasant stay & would definitely return for another stay in future! Thank you Bahari Beach Hotel.

Although visiting during the Corona Pandemic, I had expected more for 150 USD/per night. The gardens are lovely and well kept, attracting a lot of birds and give a pleasant feel to the place. Pool is nice and well kept but the seating at the pool terraces lack enough umbrella's so one has to continue to move to remain in the shade. When asked for an extra umbrella the pool attendant said he would get one within 15 minutes. When leaving the pool 4 hours later still no umbrella... Upon check-in we couldn't get a second room key ("we're fully booked", during a pandemic when tourism is at an all-time low). Later, when trying with another employee there was suddenly no problem... In hindsight, it didn't matter anyway since the doorlock wasn't working and the room could not be locked. Even after maintenance had a look at it, it kept having issues. The TV wasn't working, none of the channels was clear enough to view some news or a film. Dismal. The snack-menu is highly deceiving. The front says "350KES-all bites" for some bite but you have to take three and will have to pay 1,050KES regardless. Even if you say you only want one (possible according to the waiter), you will get served three of the same and pay the full amount. Upon mentioning the waiter shrugged, was not interested and waited for the signature on the bill. Breakfast is reasonable, though choice is quite limited and it seems staff has been ordered not to put too much on you plate, so you have to push them to add if you have a bigger appetite. The last day my omelette was underdone (not to say raw). Upon mentioning this staff offered to do another one, but we had a plane to catch. It should simply not happen. Saying sorry is sometimes to easy... For a hotel that says it has high standards we were very disappointed. Mainly because of the attitude of the staff (not interested) and the poor state of maintenance. Next time we will fork out the extra money and go to a Sarova or Serena.
