I've stayed here before so I knew what to expect. The place is a little run down, not the greatest mattress, but the room was clean and the breakfast satisfactory. It is in a great location in the central business district of Mombasa a block or so away from Fort Jesus. There are a couple new restaurants in the lobby... More

Was very impressed at how well this place turned out to be. It is in the centre of the Mombasa island and very accessible to all major touristic centres. We enjoyed so many great activities without having to travel far from the hotel, sometimes just talking to the site. The facility is getting old and the equipment outdated but it... More

Cheap, clean and in a good location. A rehab is needed as the hotel looks dark and old fashion. Do not good if you want a full comforts room. The owners are nice and very polite. They accepted to keep our luggage one day more.

Money for value. The hotel is quite old and basic but the rooms are clean and the service nice. Self contained rooms and working a/c. Nice big terrace. Near to the fort and old city. Good place for one night stop on the way to the north cost.

Having arrived in Mombasa without luggage we checked into New Palm Hotel to wait until our bags arrived. The rooms were basic but sheets were clean, air conditioner powerful and hot water readily available. The breakfast was excellent - sausages, pancakes, fruit, omelette, juice and hot drinks were delicious. Very good value for money.

Well, despite the name the rooms (beds, couches, doors, equipment) came across as a bit old. However, the staff are very helpful, the hotel is also centrally located in town. Being around many banks security is guaranteed. There is a good restaurant downstairs that prepares a wide range of fresh food from pizza, biryani to anjera. One gets to meet many... More

In the night is wonderful to stay in the big terrace talking with people coming from all over the world and breathing the african atmosphere, as it is very suggestive making a tipical african breakfast early in the morning, always in the big terrace

The beds are clean and comfortable. The shower worked, as did the fridge, air conditioning, ceiling fan and TV. Good selection of TV channels and free WiFi. The central location is why I chose this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The manager showed me to a great nearby salon - good pedicures. Convenient for cafes too and there are two... More

We chose this hotel because of its nearness to the old town and to Jesus Fort. And although it is a budget hotel our rooms were absolutely fine, in fact quite large and well-equipped. There is a lovely roof terrace where they serve breakfast every morning and you can sit out having coffee snacks etc. the staff really went out... More
