Friendly staff but too pricy for nothing if paying for bed only! Stayed for three days and it was not worth it. It might not be your wish not to eat anything, coffee offered very substandard for amount paid.

Quiet place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are stuffy and not so clean. Would visit again if I was sure rooms and beddings would be clean. Nice secure parking and good neighbourhood. Some rooms had smaller beds. The friendly staff were able to get me a room with a bigger bed.

This hotel has a friendly staff always looking to please and serve with the friendly smile not uncommon in Mombasa. Rooms are simple with bed, desk, air con, hot water, flat panel TV, phone, wifi. Laundry service was returned the following day without issue for reasonable prices. Breakfast was quick and filling with usual offerings (eggs, sausage fruit, etc). There...

We dropped in for an early evening meal, possibly just as the kitchen/restaurant opened. The welcome was crisp and pleasant and we were offered a table in the pseudo-courtyard or restaurant. Since the latter was clearly still unlit we opted for the indoor courtyard. Service was efficient and we opted for soups and fillet steak. Both were tasty and well...

This was not nice. When we entered the room there was a huge cockroach beside my bed. The blankets were dirty and the staff seemed not interested. The sleeping was certainly not nice, noisy inside and outside. Only the waiter at breakfast was friendly. For me it is very clear... I will never go to this hotel again.

I stayed in Lotus Hotel with two of my friends for three days in March 2014. We had a horrible experience there. At the reception we booked a trip to the Tsavo National Park for one day. It costed 150 US Dollar (which is quite expensive because there was no food included but since the park entrance fee for an...

Not bad at Ksh. 4,000 a night for a single room. It's located near Fort Jesus, and each room has an a/c unit. The staff members were very friendly and helpful, but their poached eggs was poor! Their breakfast was actually quite limited, but sufficed for the day. They close the front doors at some point in the night, but...

While I worked in Likoni , I wanted to stay on Mombasa island and chose The Lotus Hotel , primarily based on Tripadvisor recommendations . I was delighted with my choice . The hotel was very centrally located in the Financial district but , being down a...

After my disappointing stay at the Royal Court Hotel I was very glad to find this place. Much cheaper, staff are friendly. The food is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Free wifi is also a good touch. I had a problem with the shower when I arrived but I told the receptionist and it was fixed immediately....
