We spent 2 nights (not long enough!) at Kichwa in August. We were traveling with a group. I knew that most of the tents and public areas were recently renovated but I had no idea how beautiful and luxurious they would be. They can barely qualify as "tents" now, but that was fine by me. The food was excellent and... More

This was our first visit to Africa comprising myself, wife and teenage daughter and we were doing some resort hopping during our 6 day stay. In the final leg, the 6 hour trip leading to Kichwa T from our earlier stay was vindicated the moment we landed at KT. It was evident that there had been minimum disruption of environment... More

Was in Nairobi on business and side I'd come all the way to Kenya from Canada, I arranged a quick fly-in-fly-out 2 day visit to the Mara. Amazing experience and superlative resort. (I'd been on a 19-day self-driven safari before and visits to luxury lodges in Namibia, but this visit was far and away the best). Three excellent game drives... More

We spent 3 nights at the camp. Strongly recommend a Superior Tent. They overlook the savannahs which provided some amazing sunrises and occasional lion roar in the middle of the night. Food, served buffet style, was excellent. Our waiter John quickly anticipated what beverages we preferred. My wife has some food limitations and the chef catered to her requests often... More

We spent six nights at Kichwa Tembo in September 2014. We considered dividing our time between several locations and camps but decided our time would be better spent focusing on the Masai Mara and one camp. This was definitely the right decision and Kichwa Tembo the right camp. First of all, the facilities were outstanding - they had apparently recently... More

More a resort than a camp. Food was buffet style. Had much better in other camps. Big septic tank in middle of raised tents. Front service desk certainly in need of staff training. Any request seemed to be a problem. You get the idea. Shovel them in and shovel them out. That's how I felt. Won't go back there. This... More

We spent 3 nights here in the Masai Mara, staff were warm and welcoming. Our guide was great and saw an amazing amout of game plus a crossing of the mara river of between 5000 and 8000 Wildebeest. Accommodation and food were great. Highly recommended

This trip exceeded all of my expectations. The tented camp is amazing, luxurious and newly renovated. I stayed in tent 19 and it had a great view of the river and was quite private. Each night there was a hot water bottle in my bed for the night which was wonderful. Hot coffee and biscuits were delivered along with a... More
