We stayed here for 1 night in late 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The safari experience in the conservancy and the Masai Mara was amazing. The massive advantage of the conservancy is the lack of other camps in the area meaning you have more freedom (as opposed to the Masai Mara when it can occasionally, despite it's size, feel slightly... This was my fourth trip to this camp. The fact that I keep coming back for more speaks for itself. I safari regularly and the conservancy experience is unbeatable. No mini bus circus around the game. This camp is the only camp in the conservancy. The advantages for the eco tourist are many - First this is a low impact... More

Our stay at Porini camp was just magical. My boyfriend and I arrived having been laid low with colds and left relaxed and well rested, even after the relatively busy safari schedule. We were greeted by David, the camp manager, who just could not do enough for us, even finding hot lemon and cold remedies for my boyfriend. On the... More

...said David to us when we arrived at Mara Porini Camp exactely 1 year after our first visit. We really felt home from the very first moment. Before starting our second trip to Porini Camps we had wondered, if it would be possible that it will become as wonderful as the year before. Yes, it was all the same -... More

Not much to add to the other wonderful reviews of this magical camp. Stayed here for three nights after visiting Porini Amboseli camp (also fabulous) and didn't want to leave. For much of the visit we were the only ones in the camp and we were so well taken care of. I only made it to two of the Porini... More

We are lucky enough to visit Kenya quite regularly and this time had booked into Porini's Mobile Adventure Camps in Amboseli and Mara Ol Kineyi Conservancy. I have another review of the Amboseli camp as this one is about the Mara Porini Camp.... not the mobile one as we were upgraded by the MD of Gamewatchers (HUGE THANKS). Our second... More

Whilst visiting Masai Mara, I had the pleasure of visiting the Mara Porini Camp as well as the Porini Lion Camp. Although I had a wonderful experience at both, I especially liked the Mara Porini Camp. The attention to detail in the tents was outstanding; from the beds made of tree branches to the amenities (torches and mosquito repellent were... More

My wife and I have just returned from our honeymoon in Kenya, 3 nights of which was spent was spent in Mara Porini Camp. We cannot express how fantastic everything was here and how we both will never forgot our time at the camp. Everybody was brilliant, especially David and our two guides, Simon and Josephat, both of whom were... More

We have just returned from our fifth visit to Kenya, second time at Mara Porini, all organised through Sally Wanjau and facilitated by Gamewatchers. We should like to thank everyone for the meticulous planning in ensuring that our experience was, once again, wonderful. We would particularly like to thank and commend Vincent for meeting us at JK Airport; to Alex... More

Looking at previous reviews I can't disagree. This camp is up there with the best. It may not be one of the more fancy camps but for quality of staff and ambiance this place is hard to beat. The concept is built around working with the locals who staff the camp and own the land, but are all highly trianed... More
