The staff and service at the Camp are absolutely FANTASTIC. The tents are basic with little space to keep suitcases and get ready. Shower was a bit unstable and the tent is poorly lit. For the price the tents and bathrooms need to be better. The views from the tent and the lodge are nice but when we went in August the plains were empty of wildlife. Camp and tents were clean and looked well sanitised. Meals were set up under an acacia tree in the daytime and under the stars at night which was great.
We were the fitst guests after the lockdown. Staff were happy to have customers again and we were very please with the care and attention given to us. Talking to the chef resulted in food being prepared that we appreciate most. We felt reaaly pampered. The facilities are well maintained. All in all very good. What could be better (compared to other camps) are the vieuws from the camp. Minor detail.
i have been twice now to Kandili, the first trip in mid August i got to see the great migration, many lions and the first time i have seen more than 100 elephants and 40 giraffes in a single day. Second trip at the End of August i got to see a Cheetah and cub, a leopard close up and a lion kill, felt for the Zebra but that is Nature. Large herds of elephants again with many babies and being able to sit among them is fantastic. William and the team are excellent hosts and William and peter are superb guides
An absolutely magical place. The staff are warm and welcoming, incredibly polite and respectful and above all keen to engage with guests. The vibe is super-glamping: tents have large doubles with ensuite, there's WiFi, a bar and a fire pit to keep you warm as the night air cools. I loved the fact that dinner was explained then brought to you: Afro-saxon food which was delicious and fresh tasting. What was the best thing, going to bed and waking up with all the sounds of the nature around you. The lodge is in the middle of the game reserve so Masai ' body gaurds' ensure your security at night when walking to and from your tent. We couldn't recommend it enough!
Nice stay! The staff is SUPER attentive and make you feel very welcome. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were the only people staying at the camp which was a little weird at first but nice because we got personalized service. The location is a bit far from things that you want to see in the Masai Mara, but it’s beautiful in itself. The food was the only problem that we encountered, my fiancé and I and our driver got sick and then we did not eat the food the rest of the stay. I think that’s something that they need to work on. Other then that, great stay.
