Can't praise it high enough! Staff incredibly friendly and helpful - it was like being part of a family! Accommodation exceeded expectations, great shower, very comfy beds, found hot water bottle in bed every night! Free laundry daily, wow! Very good food, if hard to see plate at night by oil-lamplight - supplied with torches! No fence round camp so... More

Growthpoint properties treated staff and high achiever property brokers to the trip of a lifetime. An amazing experience watching the animals cross the Mara river. The viewing of wildlife is unprecedented and sheer volume of game is breathtaking. We hired the camp on a block booking and and were treated like rock stars by the staff and Rangers the entire... Myself and my wife honeymooned at this camp and found it to be more than we could have dreamed. our flight times were bought forward following an early arrival at wilson airport and from stepping of the plan we were surrounded by wildlife. On arrival at the camp we were introduced to our tent host, Leonard, who took our bags... More

My wife and I stayed at Governor's Camp for 3 nights during 27-30 May'16. While the whole Masai Mara wild life experience was mesmerizing to say the least, our stay at Governor's Camp took our experience to a completely different level. Amazing location, spacious and comfortable tented accommodation, great food and extremely hospitable staff. They have a really nice bar... More

I am on of those who - sadly - rarely will sit down and write a review. But when I do, it is because I either got super mad or extremely excited with my choice. Maasai Mara falls into the latter category. I traveled to Kenya at the beginning of the month, visiting one of the universities in Nairobi for... More

We flew down from Nairobi by Governor's Avaition and landed at an airstrip very close to the camp.We only stayed for a night and for sure we are coming back to stay for more time. The facilities are very good, may not be 5 star luxurious, but very nice with all the modern amenities. Our tent was next to the river... More

We just did a 4 night stay- 2 families with 4 kids and 2 elders. The facilities are good. Not luxurious but very nice still. Food is good. Breakfast is awesome - something we looked forward to after the morning safari. But the best part are the safari drivers/guides - They are willing to go the extra mile to give... More

We landed at the airstrip for the transfer back to camp and were amazed to see a family of elephants just walking across our path - wonderful! This is the first safari that we have done and already we were blown away. The camp itself is in the old colonial style, but with modern facilities in the beautiful tents, proper... More

This is a fantastic place, from the welcome you receive when you get there to the excellent and friendly staff (The staff here brilliant from the security guards who escourt you round the camp at night to the safari guides) - the entire experience was great. The tents were comfortable and had everything you needed. Peter who looked after our... More

The Governor's Camp exceeded my highest expectations. The beautiful location is perfect - located in the Masai Mara, the airstrip where you arrive and the reserve are right outside their gate. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed, safe and taken care of. Everyone from the general manager to the security guards smiles and greets you by your name.... More
