We are big fans of Asilia camps, having had a wonderful time with them in 3 Tanzania properties, So when planning our trip to Kenya, Rekero was at the top of our list. The camp is situated at a very beautiful location near the Talek River. The tent and the food were both excellent. Our guide, Onesmus, was one of... More

Rekero Camp is a truly amazing experience; more than one could imagine. Tucked away in a grove of trees in the middle of the Mara, Rekero offers everything you would expect in a 5 star hotel yet remains true to the surroundings and conserving the natural habitat. The exceptional staff made my stay seamless and comfortable. Claire, Peter and the... More

This exclusive little gem,set on the banks of the Talek River ,with its own pod of happy hippos (35! and growing) is pure magic! being our first (glamping) holiday, our reception at the Nairobi airport< our seamless transfer & the landing of our tiny aircraft on a dirt track___all added upto the Indiana Jones like journey! The staff, the well thought... More

I stayed at Rekero Camp--on the Talek River--a couple of years ago when I went on Safari with Jonathan Scott from Big Cat Diary. It was truly an amazing experience! I requested the tent farthest from the main camp and it was near the river, which had numerous hippos. Two elephants came crashing out of the forest during the night... More

My husband and I spent two nights at Rekero and were completely blown away by the camp. In every regard, the camp itself is gorgeous. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly by Stacey and Pete and enjoyed a beautiful, fresh, and healthy lunch spread. The rooms themselves are fantastic--overlooking the Talek River. Each morning, we were woken by fresh coffee... More

Spent 2 days at Rekero recently to see the migration. Mission accomplished! But this camp provides much more. Our driver - Pius (the best!) showed us the entire big 5 as well as a cheetah with her cubs! The time spent in the jeep with Pius was terrific - he shared his own life stories with us which enhanced our... More

Troy from true Africa helped us plan a 6 day safari at Masai mara. And he expertly suggested 3 days at camp Naboisho and 3 days at camp Rekero. Thanks to troy, we have had one of the most wonderful holidays ever. And knowing well that there may be silly speculation of why I'm showering glowing praise over both camps... More

We have just returned to Nairobi after spending 3 nights with Stacey and Pete at Rekero Camp. The whole experience was amazing and for once I am lost for words! Stacey and Pete, our hosts at Rekero, greeted us on arrival and instantly made us feel very welcome. When we booked I was slightly dubious about the camping experience....I'm a... More

Rekero is an outstanding, small, luxurious base from which to observe the great migration. We had extraordinary experiences on game drives at a lodge with excellent food and service. Our guide, Daniel, helped us become immersed in the migration.
