I went with my family and we happened to be the only visitors so had the whole camp to ourselves. The tent views were fantastic, overlooking a river. We could see hippos in the water. I'm sure if you came during the wildebeest migration, the views would be amazing (albeit probably also tragic). The camp doesn't have a fence so... More

We have the privilege of staying at Rekero camp with Stacey and Pete for 3 days. I also have to mention the happy attentive staff. I was ill and set out every morning with my "dawa" cold medicine made especially for me.. This individual attention was paid to myself and my family the whole time at Rekero Camp. From the... More

The Rekero Camp provides 5+ Star service in one of the most unique and magical places I have ever been. Quickly about us, my wife has been to Africa five times. This was my third trip. This was the first trip to Africa for my mother-in-law. Point is, we were all over the map with experience and expectations and Rekero... More

We spent an amazing two days at Rekero, hosted by Stacey and Pete. The camp is in a beautiful setting on the Talek River. New Year's Eve was the highlight with a huge bonfire on the sandy beach by the river, drinks and a brilliant dinner served in the mess. After the rains the area is beautiful and green, the... More

There are many camps in the Mara. We have only stayed at one and from what I have read and heard about others, we will always be choosing this one. This was stop 3 on our honeymoon and we spent 3 nights here at Rekero. The camp is just perfect, a magical place with special people. It's set by a... More

Rekero is the most wonderful safari camp. Centrally located in the Mara on the Talek river with the most outstanding group of safari guides. You won't find a better location or better assistance in seeing the best of what the Mara has to offer. Camp hospitality is fantastic with food to match. This was my fifth visit and I am... More

We loved our stay! The camp overlooked a crossing. The game drives were spectacular. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. Onesmus was the best guide we've ever had. We saw 23 lions, lots of elephants, 4 cheetahs and a leopard all in the first day!! Pete and Stacey were great hosts. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Rekero Camp along with our three children ages 10, 9 and 7. We loved every moment. We stayed in tent 1 which is a family tent. The accommodations were very comfortable. The bucket showers were great-- always the perfect temperature. I loved the setting of Rekero and found the sound of the river very relaxing. We woke... More

Lodging, guides, staff, food, and above all, the experience of a lifetime! Everything was top-notch, and we saw every kind of wildlife imaginable. It was like we were living National Geographic! Rekero is a must for anyone considering the Masai Mara.
