We just visited Asilia’s Rekero Camp for the third time. It is a great camp and that is why we keep coming back. We will be back again in 2022! The Covid protocols were excellent and they even helped arrange our required Covid tests in camp to get back into the States. Rekero is located in a great spot in the Maasai Mara Reserve, right in the heart of the action, on the Talek River with hippos out front and a wonderful view. From their dining area we even saw a croc attempt to snag a zebra at the river. The tents are very comfortable and nicely laid out. There is an area for sitting as well as the bedroom. The bathroom has ample storage space and a double sink and there are hot water showers. The tents have a desk and there are charging points in the room. (universal plugs would be a great addition) There is a special wi-fi tent set up. The food is excellent and plentiful and the service and staff are superb. They always seem to know your name. We were even given a special private dinner in a separate tent. There is a fine team at Rekero and it is an excellent choice for your safari. Special thanks to Rekero and Asilia for having a clothesline discreetly outside of the tent for hand washables, as many other camps do not have this.

Everything about our stay with Asilia at Rekero was far better than we dreamed it could be! I would never have imagined that staying in a tent in the middle of nowhere could be so luxurious! We had personal service from the moment we arrived. Our guide was knowledgable about animals, plants and birds. He customized our tours to what we wanted to see, and would bring us to places where we could get the best views and best pictures. The meals were the kind you would expect at the finest restaurants. And the service of every staff member was exceptional. We loved every minute of our stay!

This camp was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable, the service was perfect and the food was great. You can see animals at the river from dinner! The staff had lots of great touches like a warm water bottle in your bed to keep you warm through the cold night. LelKoco was our guide and he was incredible. We saw the big 5! I can't recommend this camp more!

My experience at Rekero Camp was excellent. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was excellent along with the accommodations. The tents were very comfortable and spacious. I would recommend staying in a tent that is near the river that runs by the camp. There was amazing wildlife near the camp also.
