This is without a question one of the finest safari camps not only in Kenya but in all of Africa. I stayed four days there and loved every minute. The site was just awesome. The rooms were extremely comfortable and functional. The staff was kind and efficient. The food was excellent and there was a choice at every meal. I particularly enjoyed the selection of South African wines. I saw plenty of all the wildlife that the Masai Mara, is famous for. My guide was excellent. I saw giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants. I even saw a pair of bat-eared foxes. I was happy to see that almost half of the guests were Kenyan. They enjoyed going on safari as much as anyone else.

This was one of the most memorable trips of my life. I could not fault anything about this camp. Everything was just perfect, our guides, the rooms, food, the staff. Every detail of this safari was just right. We saw the big five in 3 days, couldn't really ask for more.

Stayed at Mahali for 4 nights. The lodge is set on a cliff overlooking a valley. The views are truly spectular....the rooms are well appointed and spacious. Sitting on the deck and watching the animals in the valley below was a highlight. The food is good (not great) and the service was wonderful....as mentioned in previous posts, the soups are amazing..... This is the place to come if you want to see the "Big Cats"!! Also, ask to go to the Rino Sanctuary. It's a short drive from camp and well worth the time - but you have to request it. Also, if you are there on a Thursday, go to the local market, I just wish the food had been better......

Dear Willie, Thank you so much for sharing your lovely feedback following your stay at Mahali Mzuri last October. We couldn’t agree more that we’re very fortunate to be located in such a spectacular setting as the Olare Motorogi Conservancy and Mahali Mzuri actually means “beautiful place” in Swahili. The tents were designed to make the most of the panoramic views with each tent sitting on a raised platform and as you found, perfect for spotting the game that often wanders into view. Thank you for your constructive feedback about the food, whilst we appreciate you found the food to be good, we always strive to be better than this and therefore always looking to improve in any way we can. With this in mind, I’d really appreciate it if you’d be so kind to provide me with further feedback on your food experience to help us improve in this area, if you’re happy to do so, I can be contacted at the email address below. We hope you will return to Mahali Mzuri again in the future. Until then stay safe and well. Kind Regards, Wilson Odhiambo General Manager Wilson.Odhiambo@mahalimzuri.virgin.com

Mahali Mzuri is a land of wonders - a plain of wild animals, water stream from the mountains, huge vast of land scatters with excellent resorts, and Mahali Mzuri is one of them. It gives great service each butler attending to a tent - knowing the taste of each of customers who live there. Maasai is world renowned for its fine warrior - famous for their height, stamina, and striking red hair ... and their success in warfare. Maasai Mara game reserve is named in honor of the tribe which still lives there. I SIMply love their BEAUtiful sturdy, built tent - one of its kind!

I’m so happy to hear you found Mahali Mzuri to be such a wonder, it certainly is one of a kind. Mahali Mzuri is truly a special place in this world. Given the challenging times we are all experiencing around the world currently, I think it’s even more important to focus on what really matters in life….family, friends, and our community, locally and globally, so I wanted to share this information. My wife and I visited Mahali Mzuri and it was truly a life-changing experience (in a very positive way). When our trip was over and we came home, we actually did so with great new friends, who are part of the team at Mahali Mzuri. When our lives globally return to a normal reality, hopefully a better one for us all, I would strongly recommend visiting this amazing place if you can. The property is located within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy to the North of Kenya's famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The property is stunning and “the Mara” is absolutely breathtaking. The team that built the property did an outstanding job. Each luxury tent in the camp is perfectly located in front of breathtaking views of the valley, the river, and wildlife. The animals you see each morning and evening during your game drives are fantastic. They all roam wild and free (day and night) throughout the Conservancy, including the whole camp where you stay. They are protected by the Conservancy, and are under the care of the staff and the reserve rangers. All of Mahali Mzuri’s guides are extremely knowledgeable, fun to speak with and spend time with each day, and are always concerned about both the guest’s and wild animals’ safety. The daily game tours are a truly special experience in life, one that my wife and I will never forget. When you visit, don’t forget to bring a really good digital camera with a zoom lens, so you can capture photos and videos of everything you see. The people working at Mahali Mzuri, as well as, the lovely Maasai people we met at the nearby village and school, are amazing, special, and authentically friendly people. They welcomed us into the camp (and village) and shared so much with us. I cannot express in words how special all these people are and how blessed we were to be able to meet them and share time and experiences with them for the few unforgettable days we were there. True “wealth”...in my opinion, is having very good health (physically/mentally) and having the time to spend with our friends and family and collectively sharing amazing experiences. Mahali Mzuri and the lovely people there, are one of those amazing places and experiences to share with your family and friends. When you make that exciting choice to visit Africa, and want to include an epic safari for a truly exceptional experience in all facets (scenery, friendly people, jaw-dropping wildlife), I highly recommend visiting the lovely people at Mahali Mzuri. You will have a remarkable time!
