Such a wonderful place. The staff was amazing and so friendly we felt like we were home with family. Mary and Daisy at reception couldn't have been nicer and they were so helpful. I had fallen and injured my leg at The Trout Tree Restaurant and Jeffrey, the Intrepids nurse, took great care of me changing the dressing and checking on me daily. Reuben brought us our coffee and cookies in the morning and our hot water bottles at night and was very pleasant. John, our server at the meals, was great. Our game drive guide, Samson, was fantastic and very adept at spotting the animals. Our room was right on the river with a terrace and lounge chairs where we could relax and enjoy the hippos right below. Monkeys were very interested in our cookies so we had to keep our doors securely fastened. We loved lying in bed at night listening to the hippos below our terrace bellowing and making lots of noise. So relaxing and peaceful (except for the hippos). The meals were wonderful and the desserts a work of art. Had a great massage right by the pool and river by Ann. We didn't want to leave and would definitely return to this magical place!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great location in the Mara and the location of then tents were great. Had views over the river where we could see hippos and baboons. Well laid out dining room, outside setting for lunch and the pool side is excellent. The accommodation in the tent was also excellent and enjoyed John turning down our beds and nets at night, along with a hottie in the beds. The Management team of Mary, Pauline were very good in making sure we were well looked after. Our meals were exceptional - 3 courses for breakfast lunch and dinner. The desserts were to die for, as one would think they came from the Chef at the Ritz - first class chef in Stephen. Staff of Daisy, Lawrence, John, Tom, Daniel, Tom and several others was excellent. All extremely friendly and happy. Our game driver guide Silas was fantastic too. His knowledge of animals was very impressive and we had bonuses everyday with the animals that we saw. A bird walk with the Chief was different and fun! We were amongst the heavy rains from time to time and the driving was challenging crossing over rivers and sliding through the mud, but Silas managed it all with confidence and got us through. A wonderful experience and first class place to stay. As soon as the virus restrictions are over, this place is well worth the visit. Airport close to the lodge.

Thanks so much Pauline, Wycliffe, Mary and the entire team for the friendly reception and accommodation during my stay here. Everyone was friendly and I felt I was at home. Food and other delicacies were on another level and the birthday surprise summarised it all, it was AWESOME. Thank you for making my 18 days and nights a memory that I'll never forget in my lifetime.

The Maasai mara park is a fabulous place, its just worth the visit. About the Mara Interpids camp, its just amazing, wonderful place, wonderful staff, wonderful location for the game drives and animal spotting. Me and my wife we went there driving by car from nairobi, and the mistake we did that we followed the gps even after we entered from the park gate in order to reach the camp, the gps fooled us, it gave us a non existing route, we followed that route until we got stuck, we remained stuck for almost two hours without network. Finally we was able to get network and to contact the camp, they were very supportive, very responsive and they sent car to rescue us. Meanwhile we could be able get out the car and go back to the main road. However we met that car they sent to rescue us and followed it to the camp, to find everything is prepared for us to relax. The only concern i have that i think the hotel should’ve inform us not to follow the gps after we go through the park gate, that it is a very well known thing there the the gps gives a non existing routes, and tourists who come driving frequently get lost inside the park, and they should tell us to ask about the usable road for the camp at the park’s gate. Nevertheless, the adventure was amazing, we enjoyed it so much, we had a lot of adrenaline through out first day, a lot of amazing photos and an amazing story to tell 😄😄

A big thank you to Pauline and all the team at Mara Intrepids. We stayed at the end of January when the night time rains were proving challenging, but the team handled everything calmly and efficiently. Dominic, our guide, was a star. Despite the adverse conditions (unseasonal rain at night, but fortunately mostly dry during the day, the tracks very wet and the rivers in full flood and impassable), we saw some amazing wildlife. His skill and determination delivered a stunning encounter with a large male Leopard in a tree with its kill on our last morning. Exhilarating!! We also encountered the "5 brother" cheetahs and followed them across the plain for some time. Hopefully the photos I have uploaded provide a flavour. Chef George was amazing, and helped us with our fussy three year old, who was having the experience of a lifetime, and Samson who waited for us. Mara Intrepids is a special, magical place, in the midst of the Masai Mara, with great facilities, food and the wildlife right on the doorstep. Seeing the "house" Serval cat in the hotel grounds was a treat. Travelling with a three year old can be challenging, but the staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Dominic let our daughter choose what she wanted to see, so there were plenty of Giraffe and zebra sightings along with the big cats. Thanks you again to everyone who helped make our stay magical, with a very special thank you for Dominic.
