We visited Mara Eden Safari camp recently and what a great experience that was. The rooms are eco- friendly and no compromises made on comfort and luxury. They were cosy and extremely clean with a lovely deck overlooking the wilderness. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. This is the best safari experience we have had and will...

We stayed at the camp for several days over December 2012 and had an amazing time. The camp is very well set up and not too large. Jay and Munir are great hosts and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. The food was excellent. The tents are very well set up and extremely comfortable (the hot water bottle is...

The food is fresh and well prepared and the tents are beautiful situated along the Talek River with perfect view of the Mara Game reserve from all tents. The tents were clean,...

As the heading reads, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Nick and I had a really wonderful time; so much so we extended our stay to five nights from three. The food was exceptional and most of the vegetables were actually home-grown - quite a challenge considering all the wild life there is competing for food. Jay and Boots (as he is affectionately nicked...

We spent two nights at the Mara Eden Safari Camp to explore the savanahs of Masai Mara. We had just done a safari run of the Serengati Plains and Ngorongoro Crater and seen the Big Five and some lovely birds. My wife, Winnie, and I are birders and came prepared with binoculars and bird books. We thought we had seen...

“a couple of overall tips if you are looking at taking a safari in Africa is take more than 1 power transformer One of the biggest concerns we had was getting power to recharge our camera batteries. take a GOOD set of binoculares we had 1 really good set and 1 good set, wish we had take 2 really good sets, it is amazing how much more detail is seen on the various game animals, even though we were close, with the use of a really good set of binoculars. a decent range finder , used by bow hunters, would have been really useful to determine just how close or far we were from various game sitings, as people dont really believe how close you get take lots of goodies for the people We took colouring books and crayons for the children, flashlights, hats, and eye glasses for the adults. Left a bunch of the books at an orphanage, gave the rest out to the staff at various camps we stayed at for their families. This was appreciated actually more than cash.”
