Hidden deep in the Maasai Mara game reserve, along the great Mara river, lies a magical, untouched and untamed valley with crocodiles basking on the banks of the river and hippos fighting for dominance against a backdrop of absolute wilderness, for centuries the great wildebeest migration has thundered through this hidden valley and crossed the Mara river. Nestled in the midst of this valley is our little boutique tented camp, sit out on the verandah and watch the magic of the African wilderness unfold before you. We invite you to be a part of this untamed bit of Africa!

Mara Eden What a relaxing place to spend my first safari on the banks of the Mara River with hippopotamus all around and the relaxing sounds of water flowing. I was greeted at the Olkiombo airport by my Masai guide Henry who is my guide throughout my entire stay. He took me on one of the most amazing game drives on the way to the camp where we saw 21 lions eating a zebra that they had just killed. We were the third group that arrived to have the opportunity to watch this. After this, we saw a leopard which crossed next to us twice with amazing pictures. When I arrived at the resort I was pleasantly greeted by all of their staff. Their tents are awesome fully equipped with anything and everything that you may need while enjoying nature. When I shared the pictures of the inside of my tent on Facebook for my friends and family, many said that it looks like a 5 star hotel. Their food is delicious. All of their meals have been excellent. I am also very pleased with their packed breakfast. I absolutely love sleeping with one window open with the screen and listening to the sounds of nature and the hippopotamus at night. This was my first experience being this close to hippopotamus. I could hear and smell most likely the local hippo Masikio “one ear” eating next to my tent. I looked out of the one open window but never actually saw him. For me this was truly a blessing to have the opportunity to enjoy nature with incredible folks and a relaxing welcoming atmosphere. Tonight will be my last night staying here before I have to return to my country. I’m sad to go but very fortunate and blessed for the opportunity to stay here and meet everyone. Thank you so much for everything you guys! Everything couldn’t be any better! Keep up the good work!

We are in the midst of our stay at Mara Eden and we are very glad we booked here for our safari vacation. The staff have all been fantastic, and attentive. We have been the only guests here, but I don’t believe they cut any corners because it’s just the two of us. Our meals have been wonderful, and quite filling. We even had a bush lunch packed for us today for our all day game drive. The tents are all well appointed, and all face the River. We had a hippo walk right in front of our tent not long after we checked in! There is solar power all day, and generator power for 6 hours in the evening to power back up your devices. The shower is also both solar and generator heated. They provide plenty of safe drinking water for you, and you have an attendant for the length of your stay who cleans the tent and provides turn down service in the evenings. The beds are comfortable, and the tents are quite homey. We wouldn’t hesitate to book a stay here again, and refer others here who are wanting to experience their own safari.

The accommodations were great when you consider the remote location of the camp. Meals were good and the staff was kind to the guests. However, I noticed that the safari drivers that brought tourists to the camp were not treated courteously. I know they are businesses providing a service to the camp, however, without them the camp will not survive. Upon our arrival our group was offered a washing towel and refreshing drink while our driver, who had driven over 6 hours from Nairobi to get us there, was virtually ignored and not offered the same treatment we received. The relationships between the Eden Camp and the safari drivers should reflect the same courtesies offered to paying guests. After all, neither business will succeed without the other. Treat all people with courtesy and respect regardless of their affiliation or position. We love our safari driver, he was the best and treated us like family. He went out of his way to make our safari a success. Hopefully Masai-Mara Eden Camp will improve their treatment to the safari drivers bringing guests to their camp.

Tents and territory is lovely, staff friendly. But if you want to take hot shower you need to ask for hot water. If you coming at lunch at 13:10 don’t expect it to be ready even through it’s supposed to be starting at 12:30. If you asked for laundry service and it’s written in advertisement that it will be ironed, don’t expect it to be ironed😄

When we got to the tent the staff poured water from a jug that was next to the sink into the toilet. Then they flushed it but that didn't work - when we looked in the toilet there was literal poo in it.
GM was extremely rude and aggressive when we pointed out the issue; accused us of lying. Would never recommend this place.

We were debating weather to stay at Mara Crossings or here. Looking at trip advisor reviews both had 5 stars but Mara Eden had more number of reviews so we opted to Mara Eden. A choice that we appreciate after staying there.
The tented rooms were nice, clean and cosy, and warm at night. Although a hot water bottle is provided. It has all the basic amenities in the room- hot water, drinking water, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. An extra bed was put in our tent because of the children. The tap water is not suitable.for drinking only washing. Thought drinking water is provided. All the tents face the river and you can hear the sound of the river flowing. The tent is right next to the river and you can see hippos during the day in the river or at night when they come out. They have a resident hippo too called Maskio.
There is a restaurant and a lough area. The restaurant has a selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian food which is of good quality. The chefs are halpily willing to accommodate with any request that one has. For us, they went out of their way and provided excellent food with large quantities too. There is tea and coffee served throughout the day until late night. The lounge has a good selection of drinks and comfortable sofas to have a quiet drink.
There is a small sitting area by the fireplace area just next to the river. There is a small pool for kids.
Its a small site with no fencing or perimeter boundary...there is a generator which provides power for most of the time which is sufficient. At night you are escorted to tour tent with the security guard incase of any wondering hippo or other animal.
All the staff of this camp were very helpful and very welcoming.
A second visit to the Mara Eden was be with no hesitation...
Thank you

From the well appointed rooms situated on the Masa river you can fall asleep to the sounds of the masa river . The surroundings are beautiful, there is even a nightly visit from a hippo passing through. Very nice selection of beverages and the food is delicious. After a long day on safari you will be happy you stayed here.

This place is amazing. A perfect combination between a hidden corner that is totally part of nature, and a luxurios and beautiful hotel. The tent-rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The rooms have a big and pleasant shower. Good water presure and very hot water. We had reasonable cellular reception in the room and there is wifi at the reception area (where you have a nice area to sit). The rooms are right by the river, where you can see hippos and crocodiles. The service is wonderful. Many workers, and all are welcoming and always trying to help and take care of every need. Every little detail is thought of, up until a hot water bottle that they put in your bed in the evening, so you won't be cold at night. The food (a la carte) is the best we ate in Kenya. Looks and tastes like a gourmet restaurant. And they are willing to make any adjustments and special requests you might have. There is also a bar with a veriaty of drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Bottom line - a perfect choice to stay in the Mara natiinal reserve.

This is a very nice safari camp with spacious tents, hot water showers, and beautiful food. We especially love its location right on the Mara River, with resident hippos.
But it’s the staff that make the difference. Everyone was helpful, kind, and proactive. Our kids were sick when we arrived into camp and they did all they could to make us comfortable.

I would highly recommend the Mara Eden camp. The staff was phenomenal and so friendly! They gave us fresh towels every day, put hot water bottles in the bed to keep us warm on chilly nights, and Benson was kind enough to give us a tour of the property and show us a phenomenal view of the Mara River, which we never would have found on our own. There is 24 hour solar lighting, electric for charging devices is available from 7-11 pm and 4-7 AM, 24 hour hot water, and WiFi in the main lounge area. The tents were very clean and featured multiple beds, as well as a full service bathroom. Our tent had a riverfront view and we saw many hippos every day! You can hear them playing in the water! Our guide told us that this camp is one of the furthest into the Mara, which was great for getting out and seeing the animals during morning drives. The staff serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with multiple course meals and the service was great! There is always free hot tea, coffee, and hot chocolate available. They provide you filtered water in your tent, for both drinking and brushing your teeth. Our stay was great and we can't wait to come back!
