Entumoto is an elegant, authentic, stylish camp with a history going back to the 1920's. This family owned safari camp is run by Swedish and Maasai families. It is situated in a beautifully secluded valley overlooking the Masai Mara. It has a unique position within its own wildlife conservancy with direct access to the park. The camp is beautifully decorated offering comfortable and spacious accommodation with good quality fresh local food. It’s excellent for families with children, as it has a pool and four large family units. We have a friendly team of local staff who provide great service and are highly rated by our guests. We also have experienced guides who will make your stay truly memorable. Our guests are encouraged to partake in our community projects, which include a local school and a rescue centre for young girls. Community engagement, our conservation ethos and the prolific wildlife are the pillars providing extremely rewarding experiences for all our guests throughout the year.

I have been taking safari holidays throughout Africa for many decades and have stayed at many properties. The guiding at Entumoto was the best I have ever experienced. Our guide was knowledgeable, energetic, and had boundless enthusiasm to find and watch the species that we wanted to see. Nothing was too much trouble, and safaris did not have a time deadline. The camp staff were friendly and competent, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was excellent, tents were comfortable. As the camp is in a conservancy attached to the Mara reserve we had direct access to the park during the day, but in the evenings we could explore the conservancy for nocturnal wildlife, and if there during the day, we had no other vehicles to hinder us.

Wow, wow, what a place, this is the most wonderful, peaceful, friendly place to visit when wanting to safari. We were met with a lovely welcome at the airstrip which was the start of our safari as we took our time along the journey to see so many animals and the beautiful landscapes. Arriving at the camp was just as welcoming, catering for us travelling with 5 young children ages ranging from 4 upto 10, this is a perfect place for them to explore and enjoy such an amazing experience. The family tents which were very spacious and giving you every comfort you need with 2 en-suite shower rooms, the tents are spaced out very well on the camp so it remains very peaceful. The dining experience for us was all inclusive and was not faulted at all. We were catered for with hearty, tasty and home cooked meals, dietary requirements were offered if we had needed too. It was perfect to come back in the early evening to sit in the open lounge with a refreshing drink to watch as the sun sets behind the valley across the conservancy. The game drives were just another level, we as a family had our own vehicle and were so very lucky to be escorted and looked after by Isaac - such a knowledgeable man sharing his life experiences with us and keeping us very happily entertained and informed about his home, the Masia Mara. We saw extensive amounts of animals including some we never thought we had a chance of sighting. If you are thinking of visiting do not hesitate - this place is just perfect!!!

Entumoto is a special place... somewhere where you can detach yourself from reality and immerse yourself with nature. It’s beautiful. Myself and my wife booked Entumoto for the first leg of our honeymoon and it’s probably one of the best decisions we have ever made. The camp itself is nestled in the hills just outside the Mara reserve. It has also has its own conservancy which is brilliant. It’s a stunning location that has some of the best views we have ever seen. Entumoto is luxury camping in the bush. Now... if you are looking for a walled hotel where you can pop out for a safari drive every now and then... this isn’t the place for you. However if you want to sleep in luxury while elephants, buffalo and lions walk freely around your tent then this is it! After a long 14 hour flight and a small plane ride from Nairobi we landed in the Mara where our guide for our stay Issac welcomed us and drove us back to the camp. Along the way we saw lions, elephants and a cheetah before we even made it back... magical. Issac really made the whole trip unforgettable. Not only was his knowledge on the animals incredible, he was also just a top guy who do anything for you. The trip wouldn’t have been the same without him. His photography skills are also amazing, and he is a legend... literally. The camp is made up of one large lounge tent and a dining room tent, while all of the other tents are scattered in the surrounding area. There is a watering hole at the front of the camp which is frequently used by elephants and buffalo. Some of the best moments were just sitting in the lounge watching elephants take a drink a few meters away. Security is really tight here as you are in the bush with no fences. You get your own Masai guard who will walk you to and from your tent. These guys do an excellent job and are working 24 hours a day to protect everyone. The tents are brilliant. Huge amount of room, massive bed and excellent bathroom facilities. They are also in the bush so you hear and feel everything. The room attendants do a great job of keeping everything clean and tidy. The food was consistently great, we never had a bad meal and the menu was changed daily. I think what really makes this camp the best is the level of service. All of the staff are there to make you happy and they do this almost effortlessly. If you need it ask for anything they are there ready to help. John the assistant manager is a legend. I could go on and on about how great Entumoto is, but i would be writing this all day. If you have ever thought about doing Safari then stay here!
