I thoroughly enjoyed their service during my 3 days stay. The staff is kind, and the stay is comfortable. We saw animals right from our tents that are located by the river, as they grazed by the banks. The trumpeting elephants were scary at first, then there were Girrafes that came by in a file, it was an amazing trip.

We had a great time at the Kichakani camp, we were there for 3 nights. It was our first time at masaai mara, and would love to go back especially during the migration. The staff treated us nice and the food selection was good. They were kind enough to arrange for the Maasai's to come and entertain us, never seen...

I wasn't terribly excited by the buffet selections, and they were a bit slow getting started before we left for a balloon ride, but otherwise this was an excellent place to stay while exploring the Masai Mara. The rooms were comfortable and the commons area was nice.

Simple and functional tented camp, with a nice and typical common area where you can meet other travellers. Good meals with buffet, nice staff people. Good position to visit Masai Mara reserve, because the camp is into the reserve, near a river. You can hear the noise of hippos during the night.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Innovatively conceived spectacularly on the edge of the expansive Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kichakani Camp a simple but classic camp nestled amidst the big figs of the Mara. It offers a panorama of the Burrungat and Posee plains on its sides. The camp is conveniently located on the banks of the Talek River, just next to a major wildebeest crossing point. With the river as the only physical boundary between the park and the camp, it offers excellent game viewing. The camp décor and architecture is intentionally simplistic in nature, with semi-permanent grass thatched bandas fitted with tents – flash toilets and hot shower bathrooms en-suite – and a deck for outdoor sitting. The food is a fusion of African and International cuisines prepared and presented in a unique African style. Kichakani Camp does not miss to capture the romance of safari life. ... more   less
