Mostafha was a very accomodating host and his passion for nature and the region reflects on the responsiveness and helpfulness of his staff. The camp's tents were very suitable for three people, and have power strips thoughtfully furnished for easy charging. . At night, we were serenaded by the howls of the hyena and other creatures of the bush. Since only the Talek river separates the camp from the Maasai Mara reserve, you get an authentic bush experience. Food was very good comfort food for dinner and lunch, though breakfast has a set menu apart from eggs to order. Since the camp is only allowed to run on solar and generator power, it is understandable that you won't have all the hot water or strong internet like in the city. A fantastic value for a safari trip!

We stayed at 3 nights at Talek Bush Camp in river facing rooms in September for our Masai Mara Game drives.
The camp location is very close to Talek Gate so you can enter the park early and see the action in the morning when most animals have hunted and sitting down with their kill. Also mornings are when most animals are out and not hidden in the bushes.
About the room, the rooms were very spacious, comfy clean and warm. I saw no mosquitoes or any creepy crawlies. We had warm water in the shower and wash basin all the time. The rooms were facing the Talek River and we would see alot of Baboons, Velvet monkeys and Hippos across the river. We missed the crocodiles as they had moved to some other part of the river. Prior to the main bedroom, there was a small sitting area with one sofa and 2 chairs which we used to park our bags and foot wear. It also had one kitchen area with sink, we didnt use this room at all. One thing that I felt a bit missing was the lights in the room was too dull, so I would find it a bit difficult to read things.
The restaurant was fabulous, the chef and his team were very welcoming and made us very comfortable with our vegetarian requirements. They packed our lunch with our request of dal and rice. The dinner and breakfast was also fabulous.
One of the nights when we skipped dinner as we very too sleepy, The management was sweet enough to come on check on us and asked us if we were keeping well. They took really great care of us.
The Masai staff was always there to accompany us from room to restaurant keeping and making us feel safe.
Overall would highly recommend Talek Bush camp to stay

It was my second time to Masai Mara, the camp is compared to others excellent value for money. Food is great, tent (we had the riverside) very comfy and our driver Joseph was extremely skilled in finding all the animals you want to see. Yes, it is not first class, but hey - you are on an adventure safari trip, you don‘t need a jacuzzi on the terrace. But there is a refreshing pool and the personell was extremely nice and friendly. And one last word of advice - don‘t go to Mara on a self drive in your own car, you‘ll miss all the big stuff. Spend the money at least one day for a skilled driver and spotter and you will be rewarded with great memories.

Mostafa was a very good honest. From initial communication to answering queries. Is was all quick and fast.
We went during covid-19 times when most of the mara was closed. But the camp was well maintained. We were the only guests for the first three days.
The riverside tents are big, with 2 double beds , 2 sofas and a dining table which can sit four. The shower pressure was good and the water hot. They opened out to a nice river view.
The food was served on the table and they had good veg options.
All staff are friendly and serve efficiently.
Mostafa organized a car and guide for us. The guide George was made sure we see all the big 5. Very professional as he knew where to park near animals so we could shoot great pics.He was patient and unlike other tour operators who get too close to animals , he made a great balance as to not disturb the wildlife. His sense of timing was incredible as from a view point , he took us to the wildebeest river crossing just in time , with a front seat view out of very many cars.
Highly recommend talek bush camp .

We have just returned from a stay in Talek Bush Camp and it couldn't have been better. Mustafa was always on call, very humble and fair and very patient when we had to make changes to our booking. The kitchen staff are great and accommodating. Our glamourous tent was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The meals were simple but there was a choice of foods for all dietary needs. The packed breakfast and lunch were also filling and nutritious.
A very positive experience.

The owner of the property is a chilled out guy who guided us on WhatsApp and even on calls before we had finalised the trip.

The camp is well kept and v near to talek gate. As we had informed that we are vegetarians, out of 4 buffet options, 3 used to be vegetarian! From eating dal chawal to rajma chawal, It was a delight!
Reach out to them and they will give you a full package incl airport pickup, drop, safari, food etc.

They had not bought our tickets pre hand and maybe forgot informing us, due to which we had to buy at the gate (which accepts only USD cash).

Also while going to the camp, the last mile was from within the park. You may think the road is bad however while returning to Nairobi, the driver took the road outside the park which was pathetic. Ask the driver to take the road from withing the park if possible.

Talek Bush camp is stone's throw away from the Talek gate and we had a wonderful experience. Before even we arrived here Hassané helped us in arranging transportation from Nairobi at best rates. The costs we got from them were cheapest in all our searching till then and we did a lot. They even helped us get discounts on Hot air balloon and safari costs.

Hassané and Mustafa are amazing people and best people we met in entire Kenya trip. They have tremendous knowledge about the forest and people and will help you going out if their way so that you have a great experience even when you are out of Tlek bush camp.

The rooms are nice and you have househelps who are prompt and experienced. Food was a little okay but they took directions and made food according to our requests next day.

Would recommend (10/10)

Also please call them in advance so they can help you with other arrangements as well.

Best people i met in Kenya hands down.

The staff at the camp were really lovely and friendly. The pool was a hit with the kids as it was hot. Tents worked perfectly and being on the river so close to park entrance was ideal. We used a local guide from the camp whose English was passable but his skills were tip top and found tons of animals

A great place for the family, good spacious tents and rooms with running power and hot water. The swimming pool is a plus especially for the kids. Food is tasty and freshly served. The hospitality from the staff is commendable. Best of all is the tour guide George who ensures you get the best game drives and spots of viewing. Ahsante sana Mostafa and team and look forward to coming over again

Talek Bush Camp in Masai Mara was perfect for two nights. This affordable bush camp was warm and immersive. The simple accommodation and genuine kindness of the staff made it the perfect getaway for my lovely wife and me.

The location of the camp brought us close to many of the Masai Mara animals which enhanced our safari. Comfortable tents and wild sounds created a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay unforgettable.

A true safari experience without sacrificing quality, Talek Bush Camp was the right combination of price and comfort. We cherished our time in nature and wanted to return to this hidden gem.
