This privat owned luxury camp offers safari tents and unique luxury chalets, where I was staying with a large terrace and breathtaking view into the huge valley. Even from the bed the view was grandiose. The interior fits perfectly in the surrounded area, so you really feel like far away from the rest of the world. The services, either for...

The Mara West was a wonderful experience! I was there with my wife and some of her family. We were in one of the chalets facing the the Mara to the east. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable. There was mosquito netting around our bed but it was not needed since we are at a higher altitude and...

Our group stayed at Mara West Camp for a week in October 2016. We had a chalet, overlooking the Mara Preserve. Top notch hospitality, hot showers, great food, and (fee) transportation wherever we needed to go. Andrew (proprietor) hand-picks his staff, and he focuses on friendliness, attentiveness, and execution. Well-done all around.

Mara West Camp is located on an escarpment that looks over the spectualar expanse of the Mara National Reserve Park. I had the tent at the end of the row in a secluded woody nook. Every morning I was awakened by a symphony of birds under a canopy of beautiful trees. And then greeted by the onlooking baboons who never...

This was our first accommodation on our 10 day safari trip. We were greeted by the manager and big smiles. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We stayed in a chalet that was so spacious and comfortable. The nights were a bit cold, but Grace snuck in a hot water bottle in our beds which kept us nice and...

Mara west staff was excellent. The chief offered to make me a different dinner when I told him I didn't like lamb. The owner was friendly and informative. The staff was exceptional and the camp was safe. There are a lot of zebra, giraffe, wilder beast, buffoons and sometimes elephant in or near the camp. Staff walk you to the room...

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at Mara West. We stayed in one of the luxtury glamp tents for 3 nights and loved it. No need to be afraid as the Maasi security will walk you at night to your room. We had a spectacular view of the entire park and saw all the animals from right...

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights and 3 days at Mara West and it was not nearly long enough! We wish we would have booked a longer stay. We stayed in a bungalow and it was lovely. Spent 4 nights and 5 days for our 25th wedding anniversary! We travel all over the world and Mara West is on our "best so far" list! Not your typical commercial corporate run hotel/resort. If you are visiting the Mara to experience scenery and animal viewing then this is for you. Quiet evenings, except for the sounds of animals (elephants...
