The staff are extremely friendly and helpful in this swahili styple hotel in the backstreets of Lamu town. We were met at the airport by the assistant manager who escorted us to the hotel. The room was very pretty and very clean, with a big...More
Very lovely place, not quite the jewel of Lamu that it clearly once was as the owner belives it still to be. Just a little tired in the details (bathroom taps, rattling fans, lamest breakfast ever) but still incredibly friendly, clean and overall charming. Lamu...More

Hi, thanks for your question. Air conditioning is natural at Lamu. The always present soft breeze is cleverly catched by the classic architecture and reaches all interior through glass-less windows with shutters. Additional roof-fans distributes it. Also day temperatures are stable around 30 and night temperatures 26-27. Thus no need for unhealthy air-condition. Hope to see you soon as a guest at our paradise.
