The experience at Kijani was simply incredible. In addition to the rooms being spacious and beds being comfy, it has a swahili feel to it, creating the perfect ambience for time to be spent on the island - not your conventional hotel room. Enough can not be said about the culinary experience we had! It was prepared to perfection, had a very good experience with sea food - something i'm usually skeptical about. The staff and management at Kijani are very hospitable and on-point - leaving no room to complain. I was part of a larger group that had activities planned through out the weekend, which Kijani helped to arrange. They definitely do know the island and its environs pretty well, and give them credit for their recommendations and ability to facilitate for larger groups.Overall, good experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Lamu and I look forward to staying at Kijani's in the future.

A great resort on a great location. True traditional Lamu architecture from the room furnishings to the common areas. What stood out the most was the meals. The food was exquisite. My favourite was the Swahili Breakfast. The service was excellent too, where staff accommodated every request with a smile on their faces.

The hotel is amazing! Clean, quaint and ideal for a short break. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. It feels like a home away from home. They organised the sunset dhow cruise for us at very reasonable prices with awesome guides. Pretty much everything you could ask for! Absolutely perfect, would stay here again 100%!

We had an excellent time at Kijani house with the lovely humble staff always at your service. The rooms very authentic with great views of the sea. All our meals were served at the roof top restaurant. Great spread for breakfast. One could have lunch at their own time, with great selection on the menu. Dinner was excellent too, with a choice of fresh catch of the day along with crab cooked in coconut curry.. Again great views from the roof top restaurant and always cool breeze.. Will always look up to Kijani, whenever I am planning for Lamu..
