My girlfriend and I stayed at JamboHouse in early January 2017 and had an absolutely great visit. Owner Arnold (originally from Getmany) is a great host and set us up with a couple of great tours: one of the old town, and a sunset tour that took us to a couple of surrounding villages. JamboHouse's rooms are spartan but very...

My stay here was amazing! The owner of JamboHouse, Arnold, is the most considerate and lovely person, he treats his guests like friends and has a lot of nice pictures of his travels on the walls. The place is very clean, very well located and breakfast is amazing. Full immersion on Lamu life style at a very reasonable price!

I loved my experience at JamboHouse, I visited during the Lamu Cultural Festival in 2016. My room was lovely especially considering how much I was paying for it. Given that I could barely access internet in Lamu and its environs the free wi-fi at JamboHouse was a saviour. I loved the breakfast as well, fresh fruit and fresh juice available...

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast was good (tea/coffee, fruit, eggs and toast). The rooms cost a reasonable $15-20 usd. The owner is super friendly and really helpful for things to do around Lamu. It is situated in the heart of Lamu town. Definitely recommend.
