We spent a terrific couple of days at Macushla House before heading off on safari. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Relaxing in the garden is a nice getaway from Nairobi's noice and traffic. Staff are very helpful.

After a long flight, it was a delight to arrive at Macushla. Friendly, helpful staff, lovely food and a comfortable bed. Perfect for an overnight stay on our way to a safari adventure. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
We were lucky enough to be the only two couples staying at the Macushla House upon arriving to Kenya. Beautiful grounds and decor. Staff was friendly, amazing service, fantastic food - would stay again in a heartbeat!!!!
Beautiful setting, quiet, outstanding gardens, and lots of monkeys, located near the giraffe center. The food was fresh and tasty. The knowledgeable staff was friendly. The room was large, netted, comfortable. I will return on my next trip.

I arrived into NBO at night and it was about 10pm when we headed to Macushla House. I was met by drivers from the tour company. It is quite a drive from the airport (40 minutes) but in the dark seems longer. Also, on arrival to the house, there was an area power outage which made it really dark. The drivers were familiar with the area, but the roads were hard to choose. But they found it in the pitch blackness. When we pulled up, a woman from the house happily greeted us with a lantern and took me to my room (which was totally dark so she left the lantern). It was good enough to take a quick shower and unpack a few things until morning. You're very close to the orphanage. I'm sure they can get a driver for you. The company I was working with sent someone for me, my guide, who spent the day taking me to Nakumatt, public ellie visits, Kazuri, Utmanduni Crafts, back to the adoptive parent elephant time, then back to Macushla. Hopes this helps.

"We loved "the cottage" as all five of us could be together and could congregate out on the deck."
