My husband and I stayed here with my parents in law overnight before transferring to the Masai Mara. It was such a lovely place to stay, very comfortable, lovely and welcoming staff. The breakfast was delicious and the setting was a lovely relaxing start to our time in Nairobi and the Mara. It's in the exclusive Karen area of the...

We stayed here one night after arriving late in Nairobi from US and were warmly welcomed with drinks and hot food made to order. Our room was spacious, well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. The house is so comfortable we would have loved to have had a reason to stay longer. The wifi was strong, the water hot, the tea...

Macushla is a magical home that makes you feel you are really away from it all, especially after a day in Nairobi. The service is stellar, the staff is very friendly. The gardens are stunning and it is easy to sit outside and work, enjoy tea or wine. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. It has a beautiful ethnic...

This was my third stay at Macushla House. I just wish the stay had been longer. We arrived late in the evening after international flights from the US and Europe. The lodge was dark and clearly everyone had turned in. The gentleman who managed the night service made us feel so welcome, opened the bar and the kitchen for us...

The staff and team at Macushla were very accommodating to my needs. I arrived late in the evening and had an early start the next day. Someone was waiting for my arrival, made me tea and made sure I was settled and had all that I needed. Breakfast (a superb array) was prepared and ready for me in the morning....

We stayed two nights after arriving into Nairobi from America. Very comfortable and quiet. The grounds are immaculate and the food divine. The staff was very helpful and kind. One evening we had Swahilli dinner. Mokemo was excellent and the curry the best ever. Very close to the Giraffe Center, Karen Blixen house and Nairobi National Park. An oasis among...

I wasn't sure at first knowing it was a house but as soon as I entered it was lovely. The staff was warm and inviting. My room is comfy and beautiful. I woke up in the morning to vervet monkeys leaping from the trees to the roof - what a wonderful way to wake up. Meals are delicious. Its like...

We stayed two nights after gorilla trekking in Rwanda and before our safari in the Mara and Tanzania. A very warm welcome, great sized room, the common rooms well decorated, staff very attentive. The meals were delicious, very peaceful environment and wouldn't hesitate to stay if we revisit Nairobi. Wifi was in the common areas and it sometimes worked in...

I only had one night in this lovely guesthouse, but I was very impressed with the service and accommodations. I was greeted very warmly, even though it was early in the morning and my room was still being prepared, with the offer of breakfast or coffee, and seated in the lounge area to relax. My room was very quaint and...
