This place is horrible. I looked th the pictures before coming to Kenya and saw that four star rating...... very misleading.....blatant lies. I do not know who does the rating but that is definitely not 4 star. 1) The room are filthy 2) The windows in some of the rooms do not close....( a colleague was chowed by mosquitoes the... More

The road are a bit messed, but when you get to the hotel, it is quiet and comfortable. if you like quiet, this is a place you will love. I would go anytime i need quiet, but when you need the a bit noisy place... well you will have a complain to put forward.

For the budget traveler this hotel liked promising. What is not mentioned is the terrible road coming up to the property, the very expensive room service, no working elevator, no working cable TV, no breakfast buffet, and no screen on window in room to keep out bugs. The staff are sweet and the receptionist hauled my bag all the way... More

Dear Barbara, We thank you for your mail dated Friday May 27th 2016 We do agree the roads were bad and after pleading/negotiating with Local Government they have been made[like all other countries world wide, roads are owned/maintained by Goverments]. The breakdowns in the hotel were due to road construction which intefffered with power lines plus also brought poor quality... More

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days on a business trip. Here below pros and cons: Pros: - large bed with puffy pillows Cons: - the hotel is in the middle of nowhere; it is not possible even to take a walk: nowhere to go, and access road to the hotel is unpaved. - Taxi needed to go everywhere. Consider... More

I enjoyed my stay primarily because the staff went out of their way to try and help. The meals are comprehensive. The hotel is well situated within the upper hill area and is overall, good value for money. I would recommend it again, as a mid-tier hotel

I have stayed at this hotel for 4 nights by mistake. Even the taxi drivers cant find the way of the hotel. It is cloese to Upper Hill region and perhaps taking the advantage of the name similarity with other hotels using Upper Hill prefix. The only thing you can find at the hotel for breakfast is egg. Even boiled... More

Recommended to me by a General from the Kenya Defence Force, it seemed a good bet for an under-$100 USD one-nighter. It was quiet, on a still-being-fixed road, and a little far from the airport where I needed to be early for a flight to the Masai Mara. Hugely helpful staff, willing to do anything to make me happy. Food... More

It was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It started to be a disaster from the beginning. Despite we arrived into the hotel in the late afternoon, our room was not even ready. It took another 40 minutes for the room to be done. When we got the room, it was however still very dirty. Floor was... More

Stayed 1 night in August. Quite place and away from the bustling life of Nairobi. Generally, the buildings have aged despite the efforts of the Managemet to keep renovating. The Restaurant selection was just average. There is a Saloon and Barber shop managd by Ashleys and are very convenient for business travellers. Wi Fi is free. The massage room was... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights prior to climbing Mt Kenya. It was billed as four star, but was two star at best. The hotel was difficult to find and when our driver phoned from close by to get directions, he was given a route that was actually closed due to road works. The rooms were very basic... More
