I have always stayed at Kempinski because the STAFF make the hotel not management. Stayed in December no problems then booked for another 8 nights in January, on the third day while my family was checking in the front desk did not mention water problems. Sister, partner and mother went to their rooms to freshen up and muddy water was coming out from the shower and sink, I met them for lunch, we kept it moving. We stayed in this property long enough to get an email or call from management, yeah they still waiting. On my last day, I’m packing got my ride to come at 1 pm and at 12 getting into the shower all soaped up and water runs out, called Caroline from the bathroom, then she says she’ll call back, never did. I rinsed off with the 330 ml bottles water, tried calling the front desk , it was busy. So went out to look for housekeeping to get more bottled water to rinse off, that was Sunday Jan 9, 22. Checked out, no call or email from anyone from the hotel till I called a week later to ask them to drop off our luggages at Sankara hotel because we were not going to stay as no management or anyone followed up or cared to explain to us why we were showering with muddy water and bottle water. Margaret( very professional) calls my cell, she says she was sorry and was waiting for us to come back to the property. So our thoughts were they do not care about us but expect us to spend MORE money at a establishment that did not even care to send a courtesy email after a 2nd time of no water? As I write this today, I can say I have not gotten any resolve with management. At Villa Kempinski for patrons who are generous with the restaurant staff just know the staff does not get the tips. The restaurant management uses the tips YOU give for good service given for breakages and misc. Lastly, I would like to thank these beautiful professional souls who when I am there make my stay memorable and that is why I come back from Linda, Pauline, Godliver, Chef Jeff( 1st flr) Kelvin( bellman), Marion, Anne(FD), Peter(bartender), Chris(driver), caroline( res), Lucy and Martha( 1st flr), Pande(spa), chef Susan(usually checks the breakfast, James ( FD) , the guy who cleans the gym/Pool area mostly in the mornings you guys are ROCK STARS, I sincerely appreciate these souls.…
We had a 5 star experience from start to finish. From booking the reservation, to the actual reception when we arrived at the hotel, to every thing we encountered during our stay- the service was absolutely exceptional. Also whenever we requested something it was done in super fast time and with such respect from all the staff. Having small kids I'm always concerned about cleanliness. It was 10/10 for how clean everything was and kept. My 5 year old actually cried when we were leaving because he didn't want us to leave. My children had a spectacular time and can't wait to be back. It is quite an operation to run a hotel at this peak standard and we appreciated all the efforts to meet the 5 star standard of the hotel. Our experience exceeded our expectation. All I can say to the super hardworking Kempinski Nairobi staff is thank you so much for an amazing stay. And a special thank you for making it such a wonderful experience for my children- so much so that they want us back there very soon. We are so looking forward to our next visit.…
Very comfortable and restful stay. Amenities were superb. Afternoon high tea was delicious and so well done. We also enjoyed the pool which was at a perfect temperature and the spa. From the food to the service to the comfort- amazing. The staff was attentive and helpful.
Everything and everyone was welcoming. All facilities were 10/10. High level of security and covid procedure followed. Bedrooms comfortable, very clean. Food in restaurants great Lucca Italian restaurant was exceptional great for the family with smiling and very helpful staff. Managers, cleaners, waiter/waitresses and security did not only do a perfect job but made our stay absolutely amazing. We will be back without a doubt.
When arriving in Nairobi we had a bit of a hotel snafu (on our part) and arrived at Villa Rosa Kempinski at midnight. Despite the hour, and the fact we didn't have a booking, we felt welcomed by everyone, from security, to the front desk, to all guest services. The room was was fabulous and clean, the pool area was a perfect retreat after a day at the Nairobi markets. I'm always skeptical of the quality of 24 hr room service, but the room service and dining were perfect. While we didn't plan our stay at VRK this time, when back in Nairobi we will most certainly stay here again.
