We really enjoyed eating at Purdy Arms. There was a variety of tables ( inside, outside, close, far) and a variety of dishes avalible. We recommend the Brie samosa appetizer, as it was great. There is a playground for kids with was recently updated and is great. We were able to sit again table close enough to watch the kids... More

Returning to Kenya after 12 years away, we found the Purdy to be full of familiar faces and atmosphere (many of the staff and customers had transferred from the Outside inn years before). Our rooms were full of bits and bobs and looked over the gardens so I was able to start my day with a bit of birdwatching (Turaco's... More

So we had a hectic weekend planned in Karen and didn't want to face the drive back on Saturday night and then back again on Sunday morning to watch the Kenya Open Golf Championship. So we decided to stay at Purdy Arms. What a treat, spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. Yes as Jules (Management) admits its quirky,... More

We stayed at the Purdy in between a trip to the Mara and Diani Beach, a family event and business meeting. The hosts made our stay feel like a home from home (Dani, Chuka and Jules). Rustic and traditional in its style the building and rooms have a quaint homely feel which helped us relax between the hustle and bustle... More

My family came to stay at Purdy Arms just after a long climb on Kilimanjaro! Purdy Arms was a wonderful place for them to recharge! The staff were wonderful, and offered to keep the climbing gear stored for us until after our 2 week safari in Kenya was done. So we returned our last day to pick up the gear,... More

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Jules, Rob, Danny and Chaka for a fantastically relaxing stay at the beautiful Purdy Arms. Our first trip back to Kenya in 8 years, you all made us feel so at home! The place was enchanting (the expansive Twiga suite nothing short of magnificent), waking up to birdsong and fabulous breakfasts in the morning,... More

This was my 5th or 6th stay at Purdy. Having stayed at other Nairobi "offerings", the Purdy is always a refreshing and distinct alternative to the soulless boxes which characterise some of the more well-known brands. Set on grounds boasting lush vegetation, it has a genuinely relaxing ambience - the proof of which is the client base made up predominantly... More

We stayed one night at purdy arms. Nothing to say about the place, the restaurant and the bar that are quite friendly. But no one was there to welcome us. We had to wait 15 minutes before to have our keys and meet someone from the staff. The room smelt the smoke, there was mud on the floor and it... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at the beautiful Purdy Arms. It was an enchanting first port-of-call on an extremely memorable 10-day trip to Kenya, and owners Rob and Jules were such wonderful hosts. I was lucky enough to be in "Twiga" room, which was bright and spacious, offering lovely views of the grounds and the Ngong Hills beyond, and... More
