A small bespoke hotel set in the northern suburbs of Kenya's capital, Nairobi and a tranquil resting space for any business traveller (great WiFi) or tourist. Hardly any traffic noise, just the sound of the birds in the trees and the rustle of the breeze through the palm leaves.

Runda is a quite residential district of Nairobi, a few miles from the City Centre, however, don't underestimate the time it can take getting across town from the international airport or just into town, as transfer time can be extremely slow.

The Bedelle has a small number of guest rooms and a luxury suite with balcony looking over a beautifully maintained and mature garden. A small splash pool compliments the tourists requirement for relaxation.

The hotel also has a small conference room, and facilities for marquee receptions on the lawn for small wedding parties and social/business launches.

A friendly and helpful staff make this airy hunting lodge style hotel within a capital city a great place to chill-out or conduct business and is thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at The Bedelle for about 10 days in early December 2016 for preparations to our son’s wedding. Then again for almost 3 weeks in late April to mid-May 2017.
This is a first-class boutique hotel with 7 rooms located in a residential area. The security is tight and privacy kept to the highest level. It is a perfect hotel for privacy, relaxing as well as for work. The internet is good.
The hotel has a beautiful garden and a pool is available. The water is controlled and cleaned every day. The garden is used for wedding photo sessions and this might be a bit annoying if you need the hotel to yourself. We found it to be both cultural and a break from the everyday stay.
If you need to do shopping it is within 20 minutes and taxi transportation is arranged by the hotel. We visited several shopping centers as well as local points of interest while visiting.
The rooms are cleaned every day with all the items you would expect. The only issue I would like to point out is that two international news channels plus one film channel was a bit narrow. I had hoped for more local selection as well.
Then it is the kitchen. For about 7 rooms, what can you expect. Well, I certainly did not expect this. The menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner is changed every day. In between you can order a variety of fast food. We fancied chicken wings one day when we skipped lunch.
And then the most hidden secrets of them all, the kitchen would probably have a Michelin star if they ever visited. And the wine cellar is first class.
Would I stay here again? When in Nairobi, nowhere else!

You are now part of The Bedelle Family and we thank you for making us your preferred destination in Nairobi. We are that hidden gem that takes the security and privacy of our guests very seriously. We are glad you felt safe. Our staff also take pride in teamwork(gardeners, security, housekeepers, service and management) to make sure that every aspect of our guest's stay is tip top. Boutique Luxury is being able to offer luxury every day to our guests. That is why our menus vary everyday especially for long stay guests like yourselves. We have noted your request for more TV channels and are currently working on it. Welcome again or as we would say in Kiswahili, " Karibu Tena"!!

Great great food! I was there with a large group of people. The managers planning &ideas were literally imposed on us as opposed to doing what we, the client wanted. They charge for use of their tables, chairs, napkins, cutlery, etc which I found odd considering its a restaurant... I mean, was i supposed to carry my own chairs to the restaurant? Also, they close very early due to being in a residential area which I do understand, but they literally switched off the lights & denied access to bathrooms to chase us away. One of the managers was drinking and he was drunk as he bid us goodbye. I thought that unprofessional. I would recommend the place for a small get together for lunch or dinner as they have good food & service. Despite the already high pricing, be prepared to cover weird unusual costs that they will 'justify' e.g. they will tell you dinner is 'x' amount but when the bill comes, its higher and they will say the 'x' cost did not include VAT.
I am definitely never going back! I've never had such a poor experience dealing with a restaurant in my entire life. Please be wary of hidden costs and make sure you find out every detail before making a commitment.

Nasty attitude from the owners such that it has spilt over to the waiters. Locking guests out without explanation, very cold and mean treatment to people who are wedding. That is so uncivilized...how about charging per extra? Worst experience ever. Switched off music, collected the seats from the venue and wanted to switch off lights so people can leave. The evening party was supposed to be there but you chase people out? Why take money if you won't keep your end of bargain nor be flexible to eventualities...refusing to sell drinks from their bar for a drink that wasn't in the outside bar. Can't write it all...the worst place to hold an event.

We have spent 4 nights there with my partner and enjoyed every minute of it, mainly thanks to the wonderful staff who are always keen to help and very friendly. The hotel itself is in a beautiful and quiet setting, close to Gigiri, the UN, Two Rivers Shopping Mall and Village Market.

Ps.: The food is spectacular, make sure you try the guacamole in the morning!

We did in fact invite family over for brunch. It was menu based rather than buffet. You can advise the hotel of when you want to have the brunch served. I would say the brunch appeared to be a late breakfast type.
