We stayed at Giraffe Manor on Christmas Day this year and it was better than we could have ever expected. One reviewer mentioned that an establishment shows its true colours when things go wrong, and this was very true in our case. We had only booked one night and I was very excited about the giraffes coming to our window...

It is located directly West of Njomo Kenyatta International (NBO) on the other side of the Nairobi National Park, so that allows one to avoid the painful experience of the interminable drive into the City Centre. A fabulous old creeper-clad Manor House, in delightful grounds, with 140 acres of adjoining land, where the Giraffes and Warthogs can roam etc (and...

We dithered a bit before we made our booking - the idea seemed wonderful, but all the reviews seemed over the top, and the pictures like something out of Disney. I'm so glad we went. If you go, it is likely an experience you'll only have once. Our experience was terrific, and the same seemed to be the case with...

Giraffe Manor had been on the bucket list for some time, in fact our entire trip to Africa was almost delayed specifically due to non-availability here, and I must say it did not disappoint! The staff was incredibly attentive, helpful with pictures but yet not overwhelming. The food was delightful. The giraffe interaction is like none other. These animals aren't...

It is not often when everything you hope for is exactly as it turns out. Giraffe Manor had been on my bucket list since I was a child and saw pictures in a Garden and Home magazine. The visit was magical, and met all expectations. Interacting with the giraffes, both on the terrace and through the windows is exactly as...

I saw the Giraffe Manor on Pinterest and like most solo travelers, googled it, looked at the price and shuttered. I don't know how many times I can reiterate this: IT IS 100% WORTH IT!! The staff, the food, THE GIRAFFES (duh). Everything was exactly what I expected it to be and nothing fell short- in fact, my expectations were...

I want to write a well written and comprehensive review of this place but as soon as I get going I start babbling incoherently about just how incredible it was! It's such an incredible hotel, with amazing accommodation, food, staff, management and of course, the giraffes! I could go on and on and on about it, it was such a...

We chose to spend our first night here as a way to ease ourselves into our inaugural safari experience and really enjoyed it. Being up close and personal with so many giraffes was very special, and we also thought the numerous and naughty warthog were sweet too although the hosts don't agree! This definitely worked at the beginning of our...

Spent an afternoon talking to the giraffes here. Amazing work being done to protect the species and as well as the hotel, which we didn't stay in, the ability to visit and get up close to the giraffes was brilliant. It is so well done, the staff are really informed and helpful and there is nothing like being kissed by...

Our second visit to GM did not disappoint. It's still great and interacting with the giraffes a complete treat. There were two things that happened though that I think really speak volumes about GM. Firstly, 3 out of our group of 4 were cut down with some form of gastro on New Years Eve and Nick and his team worked...
