I had an airport pick up arranged for me which I thought would be an easier option for my first trip to Nairobi. It was absolutely fantastic. I was met at the airport by the very charming Maria who made sure I was taken care of. The hotel minibus took me on the long-ish journey into town and was perfectly...

Its always nice to enter the Nairobi Serena after spending hours in the Nairobi traffic. Lovely large rooms and a nice huge bed. The staff are very attentive and gentle. The hotel give you a very good sense of security and the lounge area is lovely and tranquil. One of the best highlight of my stay at the Serena, Nairobi...

We spent 2 nights there whilst on our way to safari. The staff were excellent, the food and service were also excellent. Our room got the afternoon sun and so was a bit warm, the air conditioner got a good work out. The hotel is perhaps an 80's style place but good size rooms and clean. I would recommend this...

Situated in a very pretty area of Nairobi, this hotel has all the trappings of a 5 star hotel. Excellent security, very professional staff, and enough luxury to head off again for further wilderness adventures. We were given a smoking room inadvertently, and despite being extremely busy, they moved us with no fuss, and minimal inconvenience to an even nicer...

Stayed again at the Serena . Great service and breakfast but rooms and carpets need some work. Food is decent and so are the facilities but needs an overall. The reception staff and concierge are very helpful and some of them will greet you by name if you smile at them.

This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful hotel in the middle of Nairobi. Again we just stayed before and after safari to Kenya and Tanzania. From the outside the hotel looks like 1970s, but on the inside it is beautifully decorated and has an African feeling. The bar has upside down umbrellas hanging down and surrounded by flat screen...

I spent 4 nights here and it was a super experience. Without a doubt, the nicest staff I have ever encountered in a hotel. The rooms are very quiet, sparkling clean with a good selection of pillows. The breakfast buffet was very fine and the Friday night seafood buffet was spectacular. I took a number of meals at the pool...

The hotel is very nice but a bit expensive. It is located at the center of Nairobi. It is very hard to access the center since almost 24 hours there is heavy traffic. I preffer hotels that are not in tNairbi city center.

I arrived at 8 am after a long, sleepless flight fully expecting to wait in the lounge until check-in time. The staff at reception, after a few minutes re-arranging things on the computer, found me a vacant room and allowed me to proceed to check-in immediately. Being able to shower and grab a few hours sleep was life-restoring! The staff...
