Although the hotel is undergoing major renovations, noise was kept to a minimum and didn't disturb us at all. We checked in late at night and the staff were very helpful. When we requested a room change at check in, they advised there would be a 15 minute wait and offered us complimentary drinks at the bar which was welcome...

This hotel is undergoing major renovation. One entire half of the hotel is being torn down and the noise and dust generated are quite a nuisance. While the renovation per se isn't the issue, the problem is that Serena continues to charge its regular 5 star rate for its rooms. Further, at no stage during the check in process or...

Rooms nice enough but be wary of construction work. Also a long delay in being allocated a room after a long flight. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool kept clean. Not sure how to compare other hotels in Nairobi but the Serena not bad for a short stay.

My wife and I stayed for three days on two occasions as part of a safari trip to Kenya and Tanzania. The hotel is very nice but at eight o'clock each morning a crew of workers descended on the hotel with hammers, picks, and other tools to make a headache causing noise that persisted all day. The room we arranged...

We have stayed at the Serena Nairobi before and had no hesitation on making a return visit at both the start and end of our Kenyan safari. We arrived very early in the morning after flying overnight from London to Nairobi with Kenya Airways, despite our room not being available (we were not expecting it to be) the reception staff...

We started our safari from Nairobi which was tailored by Serena. Everything went smoothly. We enjoyed our stay in Kenya. Nairobi Sereba was a nice, clean and comfortable hotel with very polite staff! Dinner and breakfast were good.

A nice classic hotel with an African touch, great service, and convenient central location. A bit below the Leading Hotels of the World status, however. Great buffet breakfast and reliable internet. Nice pool and gardens.

Apparently Nairobi's first (upscale) hotel, this Leading Hotels of the World(LHW) property effectively marries a relaxed safari lodge feel with the comfort and amenities of a contemporary business hotel serving a global clientele. Boasting Nairobi's supposedly best restaurant, the hotel's menus provide a very tasty though limited offering. The hotel's service is top-notch throughout, from reception to concierge, housekeeping and...

I was at the Serena two times within 10 days as it was the launch and return spot for a Safari I was going on at the Maasai Mara. The night I arrived at the Serena I was tired, having just completed 2 8+ hour flights and having navigated arrivals etc at Nairobi Airport. My arrival couldn't have been easier...
