I don't recommend staying here. The one good part is that the cottages are charming (named after different places, I stayed in Barbados), and the grounds are odd and quirky with footbridges and animal statues and all kinds of charming decor. It looked like Disneyland. However, the service is horribly slow. I dreaded going to dinner because I constantly had...

I came to Oak Place with my husband who was attending a conference. We stayed for 4 nights in a cottage. The manager kindly upgraded us to a larger room. I cannot say enough about the staff, from the managers, servers, kitchen staff to the cleaners, they all do an excellent job. Margaret, the reservations manager is a wonderful, professional...

OK facilities for our conference, with a mix of service, from quite good to quite slow and amateurish. Reasonable food, but for some strange reason an overabundance of flies were attracted at mealtime.

Very slow service, waiters look demotivated. Promptly served only once the supervisor intervenes. Happened to us twice. I was not able to sample the rooms or conference facilities though the common areas, restaurant are in good shape. Otherwise the place is elegantly designed and maintained.

I visited on a Tuesday for a wedding reception. The place is very beautiful and ideal for a wedding and conferences. The setting and grounds are amazing. Loved the staff who were very helpful from the reception and even take you round the premises. The food was awesome. They also have cottages which are all custom made to the different...

First, the parking space is woefully inadequate. The grounds and facilities are very pretty in an overzealous sort of way (you will get what I mean if you visit). But one can hardly fault them for throwing the chequebook at their designer. Expect to wait a long long looong time for any order. But while you wait, the wait staff...

Our office had its annual retreat at this venue, since it offered the cheapest package for our fairly large group. The place looks run down. I am not sure whether this was because the place is old or is just not well maintained. Very basic details were forgotten by the staff like making sure that there was cutlery for some...

I ordered a takeaway sandwich, but it was a small sandwich that came out waiting for 40 minutes ... The staff did not apologize for having kept you waiting for a long time, and he said "even if it is small, but the taste is good!". However, the sandwich was not tasty, and even I suffered from food poisoning. I...

I brought family members for Christmas lunch. They had an offer for buffet for Kes 2500 per person with a promise of music choma, grilled chicken, pork, fish, mukimo, ugali, chips, vegetables etc. It truly looked sumptuous. We queued for the food for 3 hours and only got a plateful of boiled meat, a piece of chicken and mukimo.... for...
