Booked at tara suites to attend a meeting at the UN complex and most hotels were full. Was not expecting much so was very happy when I got here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The accommodation is basic but well maintained and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. All in all a very pleasant stay. I would definitely... More

It is the 2nd time we spend some weeks in Tara Suites, this time because our container is packed and needed a place to live during our last weeks in Nairobi. The management made us a good offer, and we got a very spacy, clean appartment towards the lovely garden. All bedrooms are quiet, each of them with its own... More

The room was large and more or less clean but the mattresses are extremely hard and not comfortable at all. Bathroom was old. I had to move the day after because I had meetings at night at another hotel and they made me pay for 3 nights that I would not be there, even though I begged them to please... More

Stayed here for one night. When we booked they said that the cheaper rooms were fully booked. When we asked for the next room up and requested to pay at the cheaper rate suddenly a cheaper room became available. The next morning we realised that there were only three rooms booked. I also asked for a late check out only... More

I liked the room sizes here, the staff were really friendly, they have a small garden in the back side. The breakfast was really great but lunch and dinner was little too expensive. There is a market called Gigiri Village Market in walking distance (5 minutes walk) which has a very nice food court with almost 20 different cuisines. If... More

The hotel is very well maintained, with clean public areas and clean rooms. My room was huge, with very tall ceilings and a big bathroom with a shower. I had a corner room, which gave plenty of natural light. The area is quiet and it was easy to sleep in the very firm queen-sized bed. The sheets were soft and... More

I spent a week on a job for the UN in Gigiri and chose to stay in the vicinity - having earlier experienced the horrors of a hotel in town: the traffic just kills you! Tara was a good formula. I had a nice, spacious and comfortable room (and the manager added a desk so I could work at ease).... More

We are now since four weeks in Tara Suites. The staff is very friendly, most of the rooms to rent are spacious, bright, quiet, affordable, have WiFi and TV. Village Market, a big shopping center, is a few minutes by foot away. Breakfast (fruits, pancakes, toast, jam, coffee, tea, juice) is included. The cook is good, you can order a... More

(This updates my previous review of September 17) I found the rooms comfortable and the staff friendly. I did have the unfortunate experience of feeling that I was taken advantage of. On one of the days in my stay my laundry was taken from my room and washed, though I had not asked for this to be done or put... More

I spent over a week at the Tara Suites attending business meetings in the UN Crescent. I found the rooms affordable, clean and spacious with all the amenities, the staff accommodating and friendly, and the hotel overall a quiet homey place to stay as an alternative to the larger hotels ion the area such as the Tribe. The two missing... More
