We stayed here for one night before visiting other destinations in East Africa on safari. We had a lovely welcome from an English lady, who was charming and made us feel v welcome. We had been collected from the airport by a guide who drove us through the National Park where we saw, rhino, elephants, giraffe, zebra, ostrich and many... More

Positives: The view from the top rooms are incredible. We were in room 10 at the very top and off to the left of the property. The room was very spacious and it had a wall of windows, perfect for taking in the view. The bathroom area was great because it had double sinks, a bathtub that overlooked the landscape,... More

Meaning, you must go there! I stayed in May 2014. I can't even describe how hospitable the hosts were. We felt so welcome by them and the staff! When we drove in they were all waiting outside to meet us! That was such a lovely reception! The food was AMAZING! You'd pay top dollar for such food in a Nairobi... More

Enjoyed another wonderful stay at The Emakoko. Can't say enough good things about the location, the main facility, our room, the wonderful and warm staff and the amazing owners, Emma and Anton. They joined us for a excellent dinner and it was like we had just been there instead of 3 years ago. It was fun to "catch up" as... More

Returning from a super time in the Seychelles we were delighted to experience something different at Emakoko. We were met at the international airport by our driver Rashid who was also our guide on safari drives. When we got to the lodge, we were once again blown away. What a beautiful setting! The design of the lodge and the rooms... More

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights at The Emakoko, looking for a break from urban Nairobi. Aside from the obviously spectacular setting and journey through the National Park, the stay was really made special by the owners and staff. We were made to feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived and were served great food... More

We booked a day room at this stunning property and enjoyed as much as we possibly could during our time there before heading to the airport for our late evening flight. Rashid was our guide and was extremely knowledgeable and showed us as much wildlife as possible. We had never been to the Nairobi National Park and were greatly impressed... More

I have to say that my experience in the Emakoko was breathtaking. I had a limited time in Kenya due to a business visit and i believe in one day i got the best experience of Kenya that anyone can have in such a short visit Although first hand you might think that the price is a little expensive however... We wanted to spend one night in Nairobi before flying home in order to squeeze a visit to the David Sheldrick Sanctuary to visit our foster elephant. If you need an "overnighter" in Nairobi, then the Emakoko is the place to stay. It is comfortable, friendly, well organised and the food is delicious. Don't research anywhere else!

Amazing little getaway from nairobi it gives you a taste of the safari. Food was excellent and really nicely made> Only issue was the entrance to the place which is not well shown and has some challenging rocks to drive through to get there. A bit disappointed that as soon as we left for our morning game drive the room... More

Thank you so much for your review. The road is terrible at the moment and we along with the Kenya Wildlife Service are trying to rectify this. We always make up / turn down the rooms when ever a guest is out, this is by no means meant to imply that you cannot use it anymore and I am sorry... More
