Had a lovely drive and walk through the ranch. Saw *lots* of wildlife including wildebeeste, zebra, giraffe, antelope, eland, warthogs and gazelles. Sunbirds, woodpeckers and weavers right in the camp gardens. Lovely for quiet getaway, small conference, family weekend.

Stayed here instead of Nairobi and so glad we did. Great basic cottages but in a lovely traditional style. The kids loved being able to run around the beautiful grounds and we took a walk out amongst the zebra and different antelope. Didn't realise there were bikes until too late which would've been fun - next time! The food was...

Some friends and I had intended to camp here, but after seeing some of the bandas on offer and how cost friendly it was, we decided to upgrade! We went in mid-December, and we were the only guests around. Nonetheless, the service was great and the staff very friendly. We went for the all inclusive option and the food was...

A lovely little spot close to Nairobi for a perfect weekend trip. Many of the rooms have recently been upgraded, making it even better. The food is amazing and the people are very friendly and helpful. Excellent bird watching opportunities, but you will see plenty of bigger animals as well.

Had no idea where it was but when we finally got here i loved it. Managed to walk around and saw some animals. Saw cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeests and an ostrich. The bandas are really cost and i especially loved the wooden finishing to the one i got. The food is homely and cooked to perfection. I would most definitely visit this gem...

We stayed one night in the weekend and booked very last minute, but it turned out to be the perfect getaway. We brought our own bikes, but on arrival we saw you can rent mountainbikes for about 500 Ksh for half a day. Biking is very recommendable, since you can see so much more and it's so much faster than...

I stayed here for 2 days before I left Kenya and it was great. The bungalow was really nice and the food was fantastic. I'm a vegetarian and the meals were yummy and had a nice variety. I rented a bike and had an excellent day riding around and taking pics. The staff was super friendly. I am so happy...

We camped with our own stuff. The campsite was nice with water and a boiler for hot water. But we should have stayed in the bandas as they looked really lovely and since we had three meals at the lodge, were only about 1000KSH more! The meals were very nice home cooked food and very plentiful. The swara plains have...

This beautiful quiet hideaway is within half an hours' drive from Nairobi, but has the feel of a remote bushcamp. Wildlife is abundant and the scenery is gorgeous. The campsite is rustic, so no internet or electricity. But clean ablutions with hot water and lots of privacy.

If you want to beat the traffic and prepared to stay in a rustic setting, then this is a good choice. It is only 30 to 40 mins from the airport compared to 1 to 2 hours into town. This is a rustic setting, you are in game reserve, you get the feel of a bush camp and if you...
