We stayed at this hotel twice during our visit to Kenya and found it more than adequate. Fully secure in a locked compound the hotel has a quality restaurant, indoor and outdoor bars and a swimming pool. Money changing, left luggage and good wifi all part of the offer. On both our stays our room was nice, large bed, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary water. We had our own bathroom but the shower was not always hot. Staff were friendly and helpful particularly when it came to organising an early morning transfer to the airport.

Hotel's Favorite
Room was spacious and comfortable; breakfast was excellent; food for other meals was very good but slightly expensive. Beautiful pool for doing laps, but a bit chilly for me. Nice grounds and within walking distance to National Museum. Amazing artwork throughout the hotel. Currency exchange at front desk with reasonable exchange rates. I thought the room rate was expensive. I usually stay at budget hotels, but I wanted to stay here as it was recommended to me. There are several peddlers with stands just outside the hotel entrance who are very persistent and annoying. I enjoyed me stay here.

As with many other reviews, this is the starting point of an overland group tour. The hotel is rather centrally located, in a quieter university neighborhood. The rooms are basic but clean, good working showers + facilities, and consistent WiFi. The food was above standard, particularly the breakfast buffet, which had a good continental-influenced selection. The most outstanding element of the hotel is the staff. We arrived rather late in the evening when the restaurant had just closed. Unprompted, the staff asked the chef to prepare us dinner, which was a welcome surprise following a long travel day. The hotel has plenty of seating areas and lends itself to starting conversations with other guests if desired. Overall, a good hotel that meets expectations at a reasonable price point.

I did not like anything about the hotel. Based on what was advertised on Booking.com in the pics that i have attached you will see that the it was nothing like what was advertised. The linen was old and looked and felt like someone else had slept on it. the bathroom had an actual material curtain! There was a bad smell coming from he toilet drain, the beds were stiff and uncomfortable. Despite actually advertising air conditioning as part of the package, what they actually meant was that you would be provided with a small desk fan! When i asked what would happen if its get cold, since there is no heater, i was told to use the blanket provided. To make matters worse when we asked why the linen was not like the one in the picture we were told that the angles the pictures were the reason why it was different and that if we really wanted the linen in the picture it would be put on the bed. I even tried to savour the stay there seeing as i had to pay before checking in by viewing other rooms to see if there were any i would like but still utter filth in every room. The so called wifi only works properly when you at the reception area and really is impractical for me to camp there should i need to use it. I would not have questioned everything but for the price that i paid, I ended up moving to another hotel for the same price and I got a better service. The Sentrim lacks basic facilities that come with a hotel and it was actually disgusting, my first time trip to Kenya was almost spoilt by my stay there. I believe that a hotel makes a world of a difference when on holiday but Sentrim just made me depressed. I only managed to stay there for one night and had to go further out of pocket to savour my trip and booking for the same price to actually enjoy my stay. I honestly think that i am entitled to a refund for the days i paid for but did not stay. I did not like anything about the hotel. This is a nice budget conscious choice. my tour group, G Adventures, this hotel for me. The hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms with great showers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They got me plenty of bananas when I was sick and that was all I could eat. There is a restaurant on the premises and they will book activities for you. The pool is nice and large. There is a lot of lounge space around the pool.
