I surely needed my compass to get to Margarita House, you could blame my sense of direction, but am certain if I had my compass, I wouldn't have gotten lost twice. Thanks to the friendly alarm response vehicles parked in all corners of Karen we finally found our way to Margarita House. The walls around keep you guessing of what... More

This place is acceptable and has some nice touches. Not amazing. Great four poster beds with mossie nets create a good impression that is let down by the overly simple bathroom where you can't get the temperature right no matter how much you adjust the dials (quite common in Kenya homes in my experience). Layout and style is motel like... More

Dear Sir, We appreciate you candid remarks regarding our facilities and services. It is regrettable to learn about the substandard breakfast you were served and we have relayed your comments to our head chef. In addition, we are currently embarking on the process of retraining our staff as well as carrying out a number of cosmetic upgrades in the rooms... More

I spent a wonderful week and a half there. The room was beautiful, and the service was extraordinary, I have never felt so sincerely welcome and cared about as a guest. I truly enjoyed my interactions with the entire staff, they went above and beyond to make my visit a memorable experience. The food was fabulous. Chef Peter is a... More

This was our first visit to the hotel and Karen. We had the executive suite which is above reception, so slightly noisy at times, especially when the staff start in the morning. The wi-fi was terrible, kept dropping out and was non existent on the balcony. The toiletries or tea/coffee were not replaced after the first day - which was... More

We decided on staying here much based on looking for a fairly reviewed hotel i Karen. In our opinion this is a decent hotel in a peaceful area of Nairobi. However it does not deliver value for money - service, rooms, and overall impression does just not match the rates. High rates comes with expectation of delivering high value. Margarita... More

Besides the beautiful serene ambience at the hotel and the absolutely amazing food....everything is personalized to the guest. The time we eat, what we eat, where we want to sit, how we want to relax...and the chef served us! It was an absolutely amazing amazing experience for me and my husband who wanted to get away from the fast paced... More

I can highly recommend this place. The price is fair, just the food is a bit pricy. But for that price you get very fresh and tasty food from chief Michael:-) Samuel the waiter was very attentive and customer oriented. Jeff at the front desk always offered his help to get information about trips/locations in Karen. He was very professional... More

A really familiar and cosy place, a peaceful garden in the beautiful Karen. Perfect for families and people looking for excellent service and good food. Good beds and pillows, nice rooms and free wifi. The pool area is cosy and meals can be ordered there too.

I really enjoyed this hotel on the outskirts of Nairobi. As a solo woman traveller I was made to feel very welcome. My room was a good size on the first flour overlooking the gardens, it was slightly tired, but clean and tidy. The food was excellent, and the chef chose fresh veg and herbs from the garden each day.... More
