Really nice stay. Lovely poor very comfortable beds. We had the suite on the second floor. Plenty of space in the room and hanging out by the pool was fantastic. Highly recommended.Meals were great, we needed breakfast premade the night before as we departed early and the restaurant staff were super accommodating. Lovely people!

We stayed at Nile compound with my 10y.old son.It was a feeling like we found our second home, away from our home...The owners Ilse and Mahmud did everything possible that we feel so...Hospitality and care about all our needs was the top rated! Waking up with the songs of birds like in paradise...Meeting thę sunset and watching the sunrise at the same place every day, feeling the sacred moment in a safe enviroment, made my heart heal. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was included and amazing for the price we were offered to stay.Tuk tuk service was avalaible and offeręd every time we needed. We came for 4 days, but couldn't leave because it felt so good to be there, we stayed 8nights, it was hard to leave even than...Thank you so much for everything Ilse and Mahmud!!!.We will definetly will be back!Diana

We decided to book our stay here for three reasons, 1. being located on the West bank, 2. the price, and 3. the great reviews. We expected, by the price and photos, that this was not going to be a luxury location, but a simple comfortable one. Upon our arrival, about 9pm, we were met by the night guard who showed us to our room. He didn't speak English, so after delivering us just simply turned and left. We felt a little lost as there was no real check-in, or compound tour, or introduction to the hotel. There were several sheets of A4 paper in the room which helped give us an idea of what the place was about, but it was disappointing not to have a better welcome experience. Although the bed was made, the room was far from clean, the TV didn't work, nor did the WiFi. As there was no one to talk to we waited until the next morning to speak to the owner. The owner was very shocked and disappointed by the events and ensured our room will be spotless when we returned later that day. She also offered us dinner on her behalf as way of apology. We gratefully accepted and glad we did. The food was delicious! The breakfast is served each day on a roof top overlooking the Nile. It is a small simple breakfast, but fresh and sufficient. The WiFi in the public areas is good, just a shame it didn't work in our room. The location is convenient for being on the west bank and close to the ancient sites, but is pretty far to get to the east side. The owners clearly care about their guesthouse and offer a good value for money product, we were just unfortunate with some of our experience.

A really nice clean place run by friendly helpful people. If you think you've found some small boutique hotel with luxury touches for a low price you will be disappointed. If you want a clean place, including a sparking swimming pool and good food at a reasonable pricet you've found it. It isn't lavishly decorated, you wont find colour coordinated pool towels, you wont find trained waiters. But you will find friendly people doing a great job to make a fulfilling and enjoyable stay and a quiet respite from sightseeing. Our room was listed as an apartment and did consist of a separate bedroom, bathroom and a living area with lounge seating, table and chairs and a hot plate. But nothing to self cater as an apartment. Which was fine. It was clean with a/c, TV, kettle, hair dryer, OK WiFi. Breakfast was juice, tea or coffee, fruit and yoghurt, separate fruit plate, cheese, plate tomatoes and cucumber , butter jam, honey and more fresh bread than you could eat. Dinner is available, reasonably priced at around 80E£ for a main dish with rice. And there isn't really anywhere else to eat within 30 minutes walk which we didn't fancy after dark. But the food was fine. We had four different appetizer dishes with rice one night to try different foods creating our own 'meze' and it was delicious. Wine and beer available. Trips can be arranged. Just a drop to the Nile ferry , a car with driver for a half or full day West Bank sightseeing ( you'll need at least one full day ) or in our case, also a car to Hurghada. All priced within the expected range.

We were so excited to arrive at Nile Compound after a long journey from Aswan and that quickly diminished once we arrived at the guesthouse. We were greeted by the brash and rather rude manager. His entire demeanor was the exact opposite of the kind and hospitable energy we find synonymous with Egyptians. He first showed us to our room which was a simple and clean room on the first floor. He then offered to show us a different room and upsell us, which for us was not a problem, but it was his energy that was so offputting, he was very curt and in a hurry. He seemed inconvenienced to have us there, mind you there were only 2 other guests on the entire property. We took the upsell and tried to ignore his energy. Things continued to go downhill from there. We ordered dinner and were excited after reading all of the positive reviews. This was by far the worst food we have had in Egypt and the service is slow. We understand things are made from scratch and usually expect to wait upwards of an hour for food in Egypt but waiting 30 min for even cold water to arrive is ridiculous. We ordered all of the vegetarian dishes that were so salt ridden we fed one dish to the cats on the property, so not to waste it. Fast forward to the following day where I was in bed for 24 hours with the worst travelers diarrhea I have ever gotten and we are well seasoned in this area. The rooms are well decorated and clean but have openings that allow mosquitoes in, so we spent the entire night killing mosquitoes that were eating us alive. After a night of no sleep, we left promptly in the morning to be in closer proximity to town and more comfortable accommodation where at the very least people are nice. I can overlook spotty wifi, slow service, mosquito bites, and even poor food but rude people is where I draw the line. I'd prefer to stay with people that actually want us as a guest. Also, be aware this place is not in walking distance to anything and a taxi will cost you 50 egyptian pounds each way.

Mr/eypadilla . This comment is against the truth! We did not and will not talk to anyone in this way, even in the private life of us Can you imagine that in our work this happens? All you wrote is not true to the truth. We don't know what your motives are If we come through our competitors To write this comment and in all languages in other sites. We advise you to govern your conscience and principles. If you find you .. The evidence is that this did not happen. It did not happen what you imagined Mahmoud omran
